"Police arrested 34-year-old Christopher Giles when he was found walking a short distance from the crash with his two children ages 5 and 7.

Police charged Giles with driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, because his license was suspended."

Wow! Never ceases to amaze me how stupid, dangerous and wreckless people can be. :( Thanks Dee!

It happens everywhere! There was a lady in WI that had her 2 month old with her! People have to get over the "It won't happen to me" thinking! It takes one mistake and it is all over, there are no second chances for many who drive drunk.

Any driver caught driving while drunk should have his license suspended indefinitely. In this case, where the man was driving drunk with a suspended license, he should work without pay for several years in a hospital that cares for victims of drunk drivers.

PERSONALLY, ANYONE DRIVING WHILE DRINKING SHOULD BE LOCKED UP...SHAME - ON YOU, they don't have enough OFFICERS to check people out there driving without a license...sure you can have your license taken away, but I have heard so many people that have had 3 arrests and still they are out there driving...and OOPS, didn't have time to respond to the car that they were following to closely. You take a look at some of these Mothers of MADD that have lost their children to these careless people, look into their eyes and see the loss and hurt that this drunk driver has caused during a blackout or whatever, they have already taken a life that is precious, no jail term will ever bring that child back. Do it once shame on you Do it Twice THROW AWAY THE KEYS!!! Not enough officers to police this action, usually here in San Diego, people call on their own cell phones to 911 to report someone weaving and driving erract. They (on Holidays) do have check points, but (whats the use when they advertise the checkpoints in the paper??? That's just nuts.
