"-- Last week authorities raided several New York City properties in connection with the arrest of Najibullah Zazi, a legal immigrant from Afghanistan living in Denver who authorities said Friday is believed to have been plotting an attack on the New York City subway system on Sept. 11 similar to the 2004 attacks in Madrid. The AP reported that Zazi criss-crossed the globe hunting for materials to make hydrogen peroxide bombs for al-Qaida, enlisting associates equipped with stolen credit cards to help him purchase massive quantities of hydrogen peroxide, acetone (the main component in nail polish remover) and a component to make the compound called TATP, the main explosive used in the London terror bombings of 2005. Zazi, who operated a coffee cart in New York and drove an airport shuttle in Denver, continues to maintain that he is not a terrorist. He has been transferred to NYC to face charges."

Remember when every single time there was some White House scandal or Bush dropped in the polls that they raised the terror alert level?

It even came out that they would raise the level against Homeland Security wishes. They would raise it when they didn't even have any reason to (other than distraction) like one of the times they claimed the NY subway was at risk. Or Bush claiming they averted that building in LA from being attacked even though the officials said there was no threat..

They play everyone like a pawn and people (such as "NE L" above) all fall for it.

They want us to forget about everything and cheer on the bunch of anti American Nazis like the FBI and CIA as they even more completely wipe out our rights and continue to wage illegal wars that make us less safe and continue to make the world hate us even more.

Now everyone, make sure you carry your papers and present them to the nice officer there, and make sure you take your shoes off and don't carry anything on a plane like toothpaste because THEY CARE about you and only want you to be safe!

Ooooooh, I am sooooooo scared! The FBI goes around RECRUITING SILLY KIDS, DUMB TEENAGERS, and SETS THEM UP to scare a gullible public whenever they judge "the time is right" and it's a dull news day, or President Obama is being too popular and successful, or whatever.

Besides their stable of naive teens and patsies, I wonder sometimes if some of these "terror suspects" aren't just ACTORS, agents TRAINED for their parts, booooooogeymen, yeah!

This is SO transparent, I wonder that it makes even the slightest ripple with the public by now! BIG YAWN, is the main re-action among everyone I know!

If there IS another 9/11, it will, LIKE THE FIRST ONE, have been set up by rogue elements in the Military, CIA, FBI, working with parts of Corporate America...... ONLY an INSIDE JOB could have gotten NORAD to stand down, could have gotten INSIDE THE SECURITY of the 3 World Trade Center buildings that came down {by explosive charges}.....nobody but INSIDERS had the ACCESS.....

What we REALLY have to worry about, is the many assassination threats against our legitimately-elected and still overwhelmingly popular President. {Still is popular, even tho the Kept Press would have you believe otherwise. It is to DRAW PUBLIC ATTENTION AWAY from this REAL and PRESENT danger, that the FBI MANUFACTURES these phoney "threats" and sets up these foolish teens who like to mouth off big! {Somehow, when and if the assassination happens, the Feebies will just HAPPEN to be looking the other way at the time......} {Like they were looking the other way when Martin Luther King got assassinated, and John F. For those of you that think 9/11 was an inside job by the US Gov't, it wasn't. It was aliens. Seriously, I met one at Starbucks and they're thinking of colonizing our planet. It was partial to the mocha's and they're seriously considering letting Baristas live on the planet after they're done. It also said that Men in Black was actually a documentary and that the World Trade Centers were rockets left from a visit by their species in the 70's. 9/11 was a cover-up for the rockets launching. If I setup a website covering the alien invasion, how many hits would I get daily?

Or, how about this, there are people who do not like the US. Some hate it enough to die for their cause. Some got on some airplanes, rammed the towers, killed thousands, and got lucky when their fuel ignited and brought the buildings down. They killed innocent people who were just at their offices. Fathers and Mothers, wives and husbands, parents and grandparents, Conservatives and liberals. Indiscriminate killing. Many saw the coverage and went outside to celebrate in the streets. They harmed millions with the effect it had on our economy. They stopped because the FBI, CIA, Homeland Security, and the good people in the US Military made them go into hiding. Still recruiting, still trying, one day they might manage something incomprehensible again. Too simple to be true, but makes sense. Doesn't it?

Speak softly, but carry a big stick... Or a phaser if the aliens leave one lying around.

Dee C., glad you got a laugh, that was the primary purpose of the post. That, and a little sarcasm, because I love the freedom we have to express ourselves but, sometimes, I wish we all would spend a little more time over in the Spiritual Living part of Care2. True evil, to me, is part of every culture, society, and person. It's letting it thrive and focusing on it that lets it grow.

PS. I'm just surprised that nobody said that they knew it was aliens because, in their opinion, Bush is an alien and that Cheney is from Mars (God of War). That was what I would have expected if I still had expectations. Living without attachments and expectations has been more fulfilling and relaxing. I should hang out less on the political pages, but the evil part of me loves seeing and commenting on this stuff...

As to scare tactics, what is truly scarier, suicidal terrorists or government conspiracy? Yes, I know, both are terrorism, but seriously? I'd rather recognize that there are those who are willing to sacrifice their lives for their cause and know that there are people willing to do the same protecting others. How each of us feels about people who are so dedicated is probably a matter of perspecitve.

I think we should bring ALL of our soldiers home from every country, Iraq, Germany, Japan, Afganistan and every other country we ever fought in and line them up at the airports and every single boarder we have to protect us. lets pay for OUR OWN protection for a change instead of feeding corp. greed that the Government has been selling us out with. Halliburton just got renewed and they haven't complied w/the last contract. CIGNA defrauded Medicare in billions and they're still not in jail either..Why are we paying for Mercinaries to guard our embassy anyway when they were shown drunk in public? Where does a person start with all that is wrong. ((((CONGRESS!)))) Vote every last one out, literally. Impeach those who aren't up for re-election to congress and vote the rest out of office. A clean slate and the true will of the people being excersised and watch us bloom then. The world is mad at us because of what they see us allow! We claim to be so 'good" but look how we appear to the world, torture, no one in jail, a VP on TV bragging about war crimes, and we did what? Oh NOTHING! No wonder the whole world has gone crazy.

Lynda L, I've sometimes think that congress should be selected randomly off the street with terms of less than a year. Anybody who wants to be in congress, probably shouldn't be.... Just my opinion
