Only cooked chicken bones splinter easily.

I've been giving my cats raw chicken necks and bones for 7 years and their teeth are white and clean as the day they were born. No bad breath, little kitty tooth brushes. And so many of those "vet approved" pet foods are the worst thing for pets. Just ask a vet to put together a balanced, diet from scratch and most can't They get about 20 hours of nutritional training funded by Hills Sci Di that also helps them buy office equipment when they start their practice. I'd say that's somewhat biased.

And I never even know when my cats use the litterbox on a raw diet. Smelly poo is not an issue.

I agree about milk but homemade kefir can be excellet and is easily digestible w/ 37 good bacteria cultures as opposed to yogurts 5. My cats love it. Everything in moderation of course. Great for building good gut bacteria.

Thanks Sophie we have 21 pets but I do give them left over and chicken, beef, meat every day beside their pets food that we buy because the pets food don't have the nutritional of every thing don't have calcium,or high proteins so I give them every day the food that I cooked for us and the family.......

My doggies have always eaten real food, fruit, and they of course don't like the food sold in pet stores, there's even one of them that if you don't give her really hot tea with cream she'll make a real fit, just at night, sounds crazy, I know, but she is 14 years old and very happy. I know some dogs are allergic to some foods, at that point just take it to the vet's and an allergie test will show what foods are ok and the ones that aren't. They also love lentils, chick peas, etc mixed with veggies, protein.. all in its proportion. Vet's food has damaged doggies and kitties' livers and kidneys.
