This is a great list! I was happy to see that planting a tree is on there; its an experience all kids should have at some point, to help a living thing grow.
I would add one item, which is to have the class become actively involved in a causes campaign, not simply "adopting" a rainforest, but in a program that teaches about the trees you are planting and the forests you are helping. There are many programs like this out there, though in my own biased way think ours is best :-)

Looked at the 30 action points and feel overly proud to announce that my daughters' school is taking care of 23 of them, and have done so for many years. Very happy to see once again confirmed that we chose the right education for them.
Good article, more of those, with practical examples of how to do things better for the sake of our future and thus all our children, please!!!
