I would just love to have my son deal with these two. My son is afflicted with Asperger's Syndrome, also known as high functioning autism. It's called high functioning, because cognitive abilities are usually quite high. The social skills part of the brain simply doesn't work the way it does in most people.

Those with Asperger's develop fixations like you would not believe on certain things. One of my son's fixations is animal cruelty. He has gotten into trouble on a few occasions, for beating the crap out of people who were abusing animals. This is not a good thing, but in the case of these two boys, they might feel more empathy for the animals they so mistreat, if they experienced some of the fear, pain, and helplessness that these poor animals endure.

A naughty fantasy on my part, I know. Violence only begets violence, and solves nothing, but I can always dream, can't I?

Noted Rooibos and I'm sorry but I still can't send you a well deserved star. This wasn't a full grown chicken yet either and that made it even worse. That bloke who threw the poor animal to the ground was too well built. I also got an e-mail this morning saying that they want to make it illegal to photograph a cattle farm or Puppy mill, even if you're not trespassing. If the Republicans get it through it'll carry a 25 yr Prison sentence to take photo's of farms or puppy mills. It'll be seen as a felony 1 I think. What's happening in Florida?????

I am with William R. We liberals brought this on ourselves with our intolerance of parents disciplining their children through physical means. Unfortunately; this type of behavior will continue unless we put parents back in control of their children. A few sore butts would correct this behavior pretty quickly.

OMG the school needs to be shut down for allowing this type of behavior, the teacher must be fired as he is no better than the ignorant stupid students; the students involved need serious help. This teaches nothing but violence and cruielty. Of course I signed and shared. "This activity teaches violence and cruelty. This must be investigated and those involved severely dealt with. This is inexcusable behavior and must be stopped immediately".

Does anyone know the legal status of this case? I can tell from the few reports I could find that an investigation was started back when this happened, but what happened after that? Is it in the courts or was nothing done?

COULD NOT watch the video. Things like animal abuse stay with me forever and cause me no end of grief, anger and depression. The intentional torture of a living creature, one that's desperately seeking to escape, crying out however it can, obviously in pain and agony.... the intentional torture of such a being, and ENJOYING it, is a definite sign of mental illness.
