For an international organisation that protects animals to alter their stance on this would be disastrous!!! To call this discrimination is absurd!!! I apologise for offending anyone; I understand cultural beliefs, and I support them. However, this is beyond my scope of understanding and I admit it!!! =)

I think it is disgusting but then again we Americans are disgusting when it comes to pigs,chickens, cows, lamb, ducks, rabbits and what ever other animals we slaughter just to eat. It is no different. Just because we don't see a cow as a pet. Maybe they don't see dogs as pets. Different cultures won't see meat as bad until every one understands how it can hurt you to eat it from the pollution in it etc...and just plain cruel.
