I want to publish a book with pictures and stories about Pitbulls and their owners. Please help me realize this project. I still need pics and stories. Any help is welcome. We must show the world that the Pitbulls are lovely dogs. Thank you.

and then you open up a newspaper and read stuff like this; http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2014/07/report_pit_bulls_responsible_f.html
and staged pictures to make a child eating menace look good don't seem that important.

Noted. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be #15. They are all lovely though. I am a firm believer that no matter what the breed of animal, it is the way you raise them and I will stand by that to my dying day.

Right now....I have a pit bull 'guarding' me from the awful, terrible, horrible.....DOOR MONSTER! Seriously, she has to lay in the computer room with me while I am on here because she thinks something's gonna get me! I have another pit bull that just haaaaaaaaaaaaaas to guard me in the restroom because the Potty Monster might get me. Forget trying to close the door....HE will just lick a hole in it or bang on it with his head until it either unlatches or I have pity on him and let him in. I feel quite safe with my 'protectors' and I trust them with my life--literally, thank you very much!
There is no better breed for loyalty, patience, compassion or tenacity than an APBT. They are, and always will be, my most favorite breed.

no dog is inherently vicious , that is just plain silly
I have a Shih Tzu, a lap dog, who I can say is th emost fight prone dog I have ever owned. He is a rescue, and has always had "issues with other dogs. He is much better now, and tolerates and makes friends with dogs his own size or smaller, but if he sees a bigger dog , he is NOT friendly.
Great with kids though. And otherwise the sweetest dog in the world.

If I was in a position to share my home with a dog I'd be happy to share it with any these beauties. When I worked at a Vets I was only ever bitten once - not by a Pit Bull, by a tiny Yorkshire Terrier ( thankfully for me, but not for him he was elderly with no teeth ) ... but it's not the breed that makes a difference to behaviour but many other things from owners treatment, fear etc etc ... So thank you Pat - you are amazing and I'll look forward to the book xxx

Thank you, i have always said it is not the dogs fault for attacks its the people who own these dogs, and everyone who wants a dog should have to pass a test? just like adopting a child, no different any dog will bite if provoked and i do find children play a huge part in dog attacks sorry but have seen children teasing dogs and blame the parents, no child should be left with any dog unsupervised, and sadly as a lot off you know pit bulls are now banned in Australia no more breeding, and is wrong they are a beautiful dog with the right owners just like any dog small or big.

Noted Thanks for sharing Patricia They are all of that and more. I did not care for the collar on the one pit bull. I do stay clear of strange pit bulls especially when they are walked with a younger owner as you don't know how they are being handled.
