Big Pharma is only interested in one thing: the Bottom Line! There is no profit in keeping people well and teaching them how to prevent and treat the cause, instead of treating the symptoms. It is big business to keep people sick. Even death is very profitable, with funeral homes charging at least 5,000 per funeral. As long the negative brings in the money, instead of stressing the positive, nothing will change. We all have to start taking charge of our own health, our lives, and give conscious thought to the food we are putting in our bodies, and the chemicals we put on our bodies. Peace!

right usdi, you are perfectly right, i wish people would THINK, before they take drugs that big pharma is offering, i said so all the time and always will. big pharma earns money when you are sick, not when you are healthy so it just can't be the interest of big pharma to make or keep you healthy, it is exactly the oposite.

Great article! But I am a bit disappointed he didn't mention the exagerration of fatness as part of this phemomena. There is some very good evidence moderately fat people can be very healthy as long as they exercise. Big pharma would lose billions! So we don't hear about the studies. Furthermore, many of the "treatments" for wl create problems for otherwise healthy fat people. When Hillary Clinton cries that obesity has driven up the cost of health care 30%, she never mentions the complications caused by all those risky pills. Or the astronomical costs associated with the wlsurgery being so aggressively pushed on people. Come to think of it, she never mentions record profits for BigPharma either. Perhaps because she takes so much $ from them!!!!!
