Mud and boulders loosened by heavy rains swept down a volcano and partly buried a small town in El Salvador yesterday, swallowing up homes as flooding and landslides across the country killed at least 124 people.

This is so sad. I read of villagers using their bare hands to dig family and friends out. I really do hope that they get international emergency assistance very soon.

This is a devasting and tragic event... I hope that aid will flow in quickly and that the government will enable these people to rebuild their lives in safer areas..
