I've been taking 400 units of Vit. E for around 30 years. I am going on 72 yrs of age and in pretty good health. Sometimes I think I'll quit reading about health issues. We all have to die someday. Some of us are lucky and have a quick death. It's all a luck of the draw.

No Brenda don't believe it. Since I was 30 years old and I am now 83 I have been taking vitamine E 400 i.u. for those 53 years TWICE A DAY.
I am the healthies 83 you will find around. Trick is the E d alpha is the good kind and they usually use the dl kind which is manufatured in the labratory where as the alpha is taken from natural sources. It is a little more expensive but well worth the health benefits.
Dr.s keep wanting to sell this crap and scare you so you will go to them and then they will tell you all you need is 30intnational units a day which of course is absolutley worthless and you just might get a heart attack from a lack of vitamine e.

Thanks Robert&Carmen for the info...I came away from the story, thinking ...its like everything else they really don't know if they recomend it or not.. :) I have heard many recomendations for taking it, from many people that take it and are in good health..I think I'd take that advice then that of a study on, what kind it causes and what kind it prevents.

I am not going to stop taking my vitamin E. I believe that it, along with vitamin, C taken every evening before bed has kept me cold, flu, and other such disease free for many years. That combo, along with sleep, is a dynamite immune system supporter, imho. I am now 68 and going strong.
