Maybe canoe building is the inevitable conclusion for a man floating along epic streams of consciousness, for a man who steers with the current rather than against it, for a man who cares about quality of passage rather than speed of arrival.

Did you notice that they talk about "blessing the log" first? This is very profound. Honorable people. We all ought to honor nature and animals and realize the intricate weaving of creating a life blanket of many colors, creeds, traditions, religions. Outstanding story.

Many lessons to be learned in this story. A life can be woven in the simplicity of building a canoe. Thank you so much, Kat!

Kat my Sis this is a beautiful article about a beautiful man. Honoring our Mother Earth, this Spirit connection in a sacred manner, brings inner visions! Saaduuts is a "salmon in the stream" who heard the voice of the red cedar log asking to "become" a canoe. If only we could all "listen" and "hear" in this way! I am moved more than words can say. Wado ...
'ahe' hee ho 'zho' .... thank you kat so much for this Inspiration!
