Recently released film from a Humane Society investigation shows TW Horses are being badly abused. Despite the banning of "soring," applying caustic chemicals to horse legs to cause pain and accentuated gait, the torture has gone on, improperly checked.

Also please look at terrible abuse of Hackney Horses, for similar reasons. I doubt this is happening only in Africa.
