Dear Theresa,
I hope you know my prayers & love are with you & Timmy! I don't know why things like this happen but I do know they do, no matter who or how much it hurts anyone. I gladly sign petietions for Timothy. He is one of so many abused by our 'system'.

Last time I checked, Michigan is still in the United States of America and we are governed by a Constitution of the United States of America and a Bill of Rights. Are you trying to withdraw from the Union, Michigan? I know that each state can choose to be as sick as they are or clean it up...? This is a tragedy. Since when do we treat humans worse than animals... oh yea... since we have a dictator and his administration running our country. That needs to be changed too! Impeachment, recall should have been started by the Senate and House before now and it should be started as soon as the election confirms enough votes to start the trial of the criminals. Because the leaders have gotten away with so many unconstitutional actions, the underlings, state and local governments, have stepped on our human rights as well.

We the people need to take back our government and right the wrongs... Since it has been Republicans who have gotten us into this mess... It appears as though it will have to be the Democrats who clean it up. Are you happy with the debt that has been created for US and the children of our children's, children's, children? If we' re lucky, and are successful at turning things around in favor of humanity winning, God Bless US.

I'm sorry that this has and happens in the USA.

If we have love... compassion oriented leaders instead of oil...greed...money leaders. Of the People, By the People, and For the People ... the foundation of our existance. Spencer

Inmate Henry Donald Franklin, 43, testified in federal court earlier this month about the death of 21-year-old mentally ill inmate Timothy Joe Souders. Before testifying, Franklin apparently took some payback for talking to prisoners' attorneys who were investigating Souders' death.

Franklin was locked up near the isolation cell where Souders died on Aug. 6, after spending most of his last four days strapped to a steel table in oppressive heat. In a Kalamazoo courtroom, Franklin said he had heard Souders, who might have died from dehydration, choking and asking for water. Franklin, who is legally blind, said he kicked his cell door on several occasions and yelled for help. Officers told him to shut up and mind his own business, he said, finally threatening to put him in restraints.

After he had spoken to the attorneys, Franklin said, someone broke his typewriter into four pieces and pushed in the grill of his radio. He also said pain medication and eyedrops for his glaucoma had been withheld for about a month.

These are human beings, citizens, and this needs to change..... Please Sign our Petitions.

And this is America? Timothy's story broke my heart when I heard it on the news, before there was the opportunity to try to help. WE THE PEOPLE are responsible for doing things to change these barbaric ways. Most stories like this are never known. God bless you & thank you for your courage for persuing this for your son & many otheres.

I am sorry this is happening in this country and to your son - and it could happen to any of us. It isn't just Michigan although I'm sure everyone who reads this wishes it was. We have an administration that allows and encourages this kind of disregard for justice. As you said Linda B., WE the PEOPLE are responsible for TAKING BACK OUR GOVERNMENT - the founding FATHERS made this clear. We are not supposed to tolerate this kind of treatment of our citizens. Disgusting. WAKE UP People and VOTE out the Congress that makes this possible. Let's get rid of the Administration that makes this possible. Take back YOUR Government!.

My prayers go out to you and your family. What happened to your son was just WRONG. I don't see how the prison system can justify this practice at all. May they receive not only judgement here on this earth, but also may they know the judgement of God. Thank you for having the strength to share your story. My hope is that since you have brought this out in the light, that it will NEVER happen to anyone again. May God Bless You and help you to heal.

When news, pictures & video are out deplicting the horror in America's prisons, when you realize our country has more prisons than any other country, what does that tell us? What does it tell the entire world? Only in America "the land of the Free and the home of the Brave" have many, many rude, corrupt law enforcement who most think they are god's when they put that badge on... then we have the prisons, that humiliate and abuse inmates all the time, restraints in either case are definately used with way too much force, unneccessary force to be precise!!! If our county is so superior to others, than why do we continue to allow continuous terrorizing from certain institutions of law, criminal justice etc., directed towards our own people? America is twisted!!! How do you teach others not to terrorize, by terrorizing them???? Doesn't make sense... No wonder so much respect has been lost for our Govt., law enforcement, judicial courts etc., etc. Disrespect & mistrust in our our own country for the people who run it, does make for good relations between US & THEM!!!! More attention needs to be focused on our own American terrorists, before we try to correct any other countries!!!

Prayer is powerful! I pray that those who are carrying out these inhuman practises will themselves be brought to justice down the line and that there will be severe punishments meted out for flouting basic human rights laws in America. I pray too that many other prisoners will be saved as a result of this mother's bravery and that of her son to make known what is really going on. Amen.

Theresa I am sorry for the pain you and your son have had to endure - it is absolutely unacceptable that people can get away with treating other's in their supposedly "trained" care with such diabolical treatment.
Yes - I agree America would do well to tend to their own problems at home before taking over other countries and trying to instill their way of living and thinking - which I might add - is not always the right way - accept and respect - NO TORTURE!!!!
