PROHIBITION KILLS! Free drug users, help abusers...decriminalize & watch drug lords weep! -- T.Green in the millennium whole earth catalog

" A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded. Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation and makes a crime of things that are not crime. " -- Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865; 16th US president)

Considering that he didn't die from an overdose, I'm not even going to bother reading this. He died because he was an addict, not because he misused it.

Carol...he died with a needle in his arm! Aside from this, as an addict, your body begins to break down, and your tolerance becomes less and less. He didn't misuse it? He died because he did. I don't understand your posting.

It is very sad , indeed. Only in the small town in sweden where I live- I have lost more than 20 friends in 10 years, due to drugabuse- OD with heroin, or some moixed Methadone woith pills, etc. Its extremly SAD, and very depressing. AND an important issue, cause sadly it does increase a LOT.

Thanks for posting, Ray!

Noted. I read that there was a bunch of heavily tainted heroin going around the NY area....and other areas. So, many more will be affected. The article also mentions pills and abuse of them. While I understand there is a big black market, I still blame doctors for over-prescribing, and especially prescribing without fully diagnosing their patients.

Most people who abuse drugs usually end up being drug addicts! However, far too many often live in denial of the fact that they have become drug dependent. Ever hear of the song “Mothers Little Helper?”

Drug abuse kills the mind, destroys the spirit through addiction, and eventually destroys the entire person! Don't believe me? Just take a walk down skid row, or the areas where addicts use drugs, and you will see the truth for yourself!
