An article by pro-killing writer, Paul Smith, appeared this evening on the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's website talking abut the upcoming wolf kill. Amidst all of the fluff about how "careful" the DNR is not to allow "over-harvest" of wolves

Rhetoric is convincing through words.

Rhetorical tactics include taking it for granted that your path is indisputable. This is easily done: just mention how to thoughtlessly and greedily kill without considering that the very plan and action should be questioned.

The key is to merely teach how to operate the bulldozer, and that which it destroys is automatically ignored.

You have urban educated people doing this all the time, continuing to enter (as the Spanish once did 500 years ago) to acquire, and to emptily, kill whatever appears in your way. Whether messianic, economic, practical, if your goals are single-minded, you will not, cannot hear anything else.

Neurological exploration of a cat's responses to sound once took place in a lab. When studying the brain network of response to auditory stimuli, an incident occurred:
In the same lab were mice encaged. When the cat noticed the mice, ALL the other auditory stimuli disappeared from its brain. The cat no longer even heard the applied sounds.

Your brain also works this way.

I hope you now have a little insight into those who utterly discount anyone differing with their desires, goals, and preconceptions. Me? I merely watch this blind, deaf, and ugly species pave over my relatives. Forever, unless they can be changed into hearing beings.
