May 23, there was held a mass slaughter of animals: 258 dogs, 39 puppies, 43 cats were killed in the city of Surgut, in a private shelter for dogs and cats. Among the survivors were 6 puppies and 2 cats that were hiding in the closet. Eng. Tranla'n

I hate to be crass here but MILLIONS are killed every single day on purpose to become plastic wrapped packages in grocery stores and elsewhere such as restaurants. These animals are just as intelligent and loving as cats & dogs are (I've had a few very cranky cats in my life). I just do not understand those who want to save some types of animals but still eat others. What gives one animal more value over another?

Change.org is down for me. What a very sad story to hear. Anyone who hurts or kills an animal can go to, well you know the rest. Thanks, Kelly.
