More than 99 percent of eggs used by McDonald's in the U.S. come from chickens confined in tiny, barren cages, in what is certainly the most abusive factory farming system in existence. The petition to sign is towards the btm. of the article

"You know, we all oppose animal cruelty. But sometimes we forget that animals on farms suffer and feel pain like all other animals. They, too, deserve to be protected from harm and cruelty." —Charlotte Ross

“At the moment our human world is based on the suffering and destruction of millions of non-humans. To perceive this and to do something to change it in personal and public ways is to undergo a change of perception akin to a religious conversion. Nothing can ever be seen in quite the same way again because once you have admitted the terror and pain of other species you will, unless you resist conversion, be always aware of the endless permutations of suffering that support our society." —Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859 - 1930)

“Unseen they suffer, unheard they cry, in agony they linger, in loneliness they die.” —Anonymous

“Think occasionally of the suffering of which you spare yourself the sight.” —Albert Schweitzer

"Not to hurt our humble brethren (the animals) is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. We have a higher mission--to be of service to them whenever they require it..." ― St. Francis of Assisi, [1181/1182 – October 3, 1226]

There isn't anything healthy that can come from creatures living in misery and despair.

Factory farming is so disgusting and immoral. The stench is bad enough, but what is done to the animals is horrible. Yet more and more of these awful farms are being given permission to be built.

"Thank you for contacting McDonald's and telling them to eliminate battery cages from their supply chain. Indeed, it makes a huge difference for farm animals."
