A group of awesome school children from Hamilton, Mont., regularly pass up play time to bring a little comfort to animals at their local shelter.

This is wonderful. For the students, as well as for the shelter animals. I'm passing this on to friends. Sweet story. Thanks, Kelly for this.

Awesome story! These kids are learning empathy, one of the greatest attributes that children can develop! If more children developed this quality, then we would see it more in the adult population too and we would literally have a different world (a much more loving and peaceful one!) within a generation. The animals, the children and our society will all benefit from this wonderful after-school program! Kudos to Keystone for this wonderful program for encouraging students to develop empathy and compassion! Thanks for posting this great story Kelly. I'm sharing it with many others.
