In a recent episode of Under Wild Skies--a National Rifle Association (NRA)-sponsored hunting show that airs on NBC Sports--NRA lobbyist Tony Makris, the show's host, joked as he killed a bull elephant in Africa for his personal enjoyment.

Natasha couldn't have said it better, common sense is gone..NBC makes me sick with shame, how dare u kill a elephant, 4 what u call, "entertainment". Elephants are doomed, with dumbsh*ts like nbc.

Signed and Noted. I just don't even have words for how unimaginably heartless murdering an elephant is. They mourn their loved ones when they die. They are such caring social creatures. Heartbreaking :-((

Sad that they would do it, kind of silly to not realize the uproar, but Botswana probably has a problem in the the conservation efforts have been so successful and the people are at risk. Rather than complaining, perhaps we should look at how we can redistribute some elephants to other countries.
