Shrek was discovered on some farmland with fur so matted and caked in mud that he no longer looked like a dog, but like a creature from a swamp. Now with medical care and fresh hair cut Shrek is looking like a dog again and learning to be loved.

I've been wondering how Shrek has been doing; what a cutie pie! He deserves a happy ending filled with love!

AND his story saved the lives of 12 other puppy mill dogs! :)))

Poor baby. I didn't hear about this story previously. I'm always here but i guess there are so many stories. How sad that he was out in the woods like that. Terrible .But it sounds like now thankfully he is doing so much better and being cared for lovingly. Learning to be loved...
Wonderful bonus that his story saved the lives of 12 other puppy mill dogs. That's excellent news and this is all new to me. I'm happy. Thank You again for another good news update Kelly :-))

It downs;t surprise me that people do things like this but it is so far from anything I can comprehend. To leave a small dog (or any dog) out there alone with mats so bad he couldn't walk leaves me speechless. HE isn't a Puppy doe but cruelty is cruelty and Shrek suffered. Thank food ness he was found and will never be alone again.Hopefully there is some karma looking for those who abandoned him.

Actually, in the article the others were taken from them. Or, they let them go (catch this) BECAUSE THEY HAD NO USE FOR THEM ANY LONGER. It was either this story or another one.

Shrek is one lucky dog. He has become so adorable without all the matting that it is hard not to want to cuddle him. He is learning that, although the dogs are great friends, the humans, because they are kind, caring and loving, are great friends as well.

Congrats on saving the other 12. No matter if they are in their forever homes or not, they have found that there are wonderful people around, not like the brutes who abandoned them.

The poor puppy. Hope the rest of his life is full of love, good food and fresh water and lots of play time. If a human was responsible for this, I hope they have a life of misery.,

Why some people viciously mistreat innocent animals in this manner is beyond belief. Punish these wicked people to the maximum possible way. That would teach them a lesson.
