Since she had known mental problems why were there animals in her care? She is 23 years old, I'm sure there have been problems before this point. Petition signed and noted.

This kind of thing breaks my heart. How can anyyone do this to a living animal, and a young one who was just finding her feet and learning about life. I am sorry to say it but mentally ill or not, I wish this woman as much suffering as she has inflicted on this lovely and no doubt loving and trusting kitten. Sweet Mowgli, rest in peace, free now from your unimaginable suffering. xxx

S&N. Should anger be tempered with compassion? She's clearly mentally ill. Jail won't solve her problem or avenge our collective rage. She may need to be institutionalized for this is the act of someone with a broken brain.

Went to the article -- that is one of the most offensive sites on the 'net in terms of malware, adware, attackware, etc. I won't be visiting that site again, no matter how just the cause. Next time, please send me directly to the petition.

I understand she was mentally ill, but sorry, that doesn't make me feel any different, any less outraged. She ought to never leave an institution for the rest of her life - she is a very dangerous individual.

This is just beyond it. Surely relatives of this very sick human would have known something was going to happen. She needs help and I mean locked away, never to own another animal. RIP beautiful kitty.

Just find a big microwave an put her in. I am tired of these people getting almost nothing in terms of what punishment. People like her make me sick. She is part of the supposed intelligent species-well she ought to know better. I have and enough-just get rid of her. Since they won;t do that they should make her understand the suffering she cause a kitten who knew no better.

There are a lot of "lol" images that depict cats stuffed into microwaves, blenders, cooking pots, frying pans, etc. and some have the cat completely trapped with the lids on, the doors shut, etc. One thing we should be doing is trying to curb such pictures, because they are NOT funny. To me they are posted by twisted individuals with absolutely no compassion whatsoever. When you see them, report them as offensive. Write to the site owners and complain.

About the woman who murdered her cat: I sincerely hope she is locked up with a cat lover who finds out what she did.

This POS needs to be put in a microwave and see how it feels. I agree with the other posters here; why was this sicko allowed to have a pet as there had to be previous signs before this happened.

Signed, suggesting she be provided with mental treatment. Otherwise, you are only going to turn her into a monster. Then what happens when she gets out? At that point she will only be more dangerous and cause more harm ... all in the name of the same victim you are trying to honor?

This is pitiful, that a young kitten had to suffer at the hands of her sadistic owner. Yes, she needs prosecuted to the fullest extent that the law allows. This act shows see knows right from wrong, and in her own words was looking to punish her kitten.

She had been a mental health patient and has clearly been very ill with psychosis on a number of occasions. Her psychiatrist should have stipulated as part of the conditions of being released back into the community, that she NOT be permitted to have animals. Psychiatrists can be really dim witted for so called educated people. They should take some responsibility also for not acting. They get well paid enough and they do have a huge amount of power over the rights of mental health patients.

Signed and noted. The petition was very hard to find... but I finally found a spot in the article (I think it said "petition") but it is hard to find, especially while fighting off so many ads and such that keep popping up! I don't even know what to say about the sick sick "person" who could DO that to any living creature. Unbelievable cruelty.

She has a long history of mental health issues? Imprisoning her is inappropriate. She shouldn't have had the responsibility of caring for any pets, but how could that have been prevented? Anybody can buy a goldfish at any store that sells them........they don't ask for background checks, and maybe the kitten was a stray or given to her, who knows?

She needs help, that's for sure.
