The number of U.S. veterans still unable to claim their hard-earned benefits after a year of filing has raised from 11,000 in 2009 to 245,000 in 2012 -- a 2000% increase in three years. Almost a million veterans are on hold for their benefits

Noted and absolutely signed, thanks. I'm constantly amazed that Care2 members don't seem to have the compassion for our Veterans as they do for animals. ?

Most people do not acknowledge that we still have troops fighting in war zones whether we believe in wars or not. They are fighting for us, our country. Willing to die for us. No human or animal should die before their time.

Done! Thanks, Julie. (Personally, I'm a pacifist, but don't believe anyone should have to wait to receive the benefits they're entitled to.) Have reported the voodoo spammer, by the way!

Our vets should be on the top of the priority list to receive their benefits and whatever else they need. What is wrong with this country?? This is totally not right!! They should have to wait for NOTHING!!!

Noted and signed. It's a disgrace that a rich and powerful country like the US shows such amateurish way to adjudicate the hundreds of thousand of cases of soldiers who have given so much for this country. Truly a disgrace!

Signed with pleasure.
Many military veterans have given their health and strength in the service of their nation. The very least that they deserve is to be given whatever help and benefits are due to them at the earliest possible time.
Unfortunately it is not just America that treats its brave service men and women so badly. Here in Britain we have large numbers of men and women who have served their country in various theatres of war, who are now living on the streets and relying on charities to provide basic food for them. Our government like America's, has sent them to fight in conflicts around the world and when they come home seriously injured both physically and mentally, the governments ignore them and treat them like unwanted trash.
