And so many idiots try to declaw their cats themselves! They should not ever be able to have cats! I have never had a problem with a cat scratching up my furniture. They can be trained.

Must add, back in the day when furniture was important to me (many, many moons ago)
i always had house only cats & owned a specific little snipper to trim my cats nails, i only ever took off the tiniest amount from the tip & it always grows back,. Why can't people get one of these instead of resorting to permanent surgeries.
