Voted no! I spend much of my life on and around horses and have always been loudly opposed to what is an antiquated and elitist blood sport. It is the height of cruelty and the only reason it is still around is because money talks. It is a 'sport' who's time has passed and is no longer necessary.

AND IF IT WAS THE DAILY MAIL NEWSPAPER THE VOTE WOULD BE WELL IN OUR FAVOUR PROB 80% + AND THE HUNTING CROWD ARE AN IMMORAL MINORITY WHO ARE PROB SOMEHOW FIDDLING THE POLL! AND THIS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL POLL. YOU WILL STILL FIND THE HUGE MAJORITY WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS VILE PRACTICE. THE REPEAL OF THIS BAN WILL NOT HAPPEN , NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY BLEAT OR TRY THEIR DIRTY TRICKS ! SO BE CHEERED, UK WILL NOT LET THE SAVAGES WIN!

I already absolutely hate and despise cameron and his cronies for many reasons, and having read what cameron said in the Telegraph poll article, my hope that when their time comes they all suffer horrible deaths remains as intense as ever.

cameron hates animals, hates the natural environment, his actions, policies and intentions show this clearly.

cameron wants to allow building all over the countryside, wants to destroy wildlife habitats, wants to sell off / destroy forests.

It is also cameron and his cronies whom are pushing the HS2 train project, a rail line down the middle of England which will destroy more forest, countryside and wildlife habitats

cameron's mindset is plain to see for everone, in his own words in the article, he states " hunting of animals is a sport."

Voted 'No;. It is very disappointing that in an animal loving country, so many people want to give the rich the rights to tear innocent animals apart.

I agree with Inconsolable T (Terry), Cameron wants to sell it all off and build on our beautiful land. As a Londoner I have seen the most tiniest pieces of Council land sold off to developers and then up goes more properties, putting a strain on all the old water mains, sewage works, electricity and gas supplies and destroying our floodplains

Cameron wont be satisfied until all our wildlife is suffering so it sounds 'kind' to hunt them to put them out of their misery.

DO NOT VOTE FOR CONSERVATIVES IN THE GENERAL ELECTION AND DON'T FORGET THAT IT WAS THE IDIOT LABOUR PARTY WHO TOOK 7 YEARS TO PUT IN PLACE A HUNTING BAN WHICH HAS SO MANY LOOP HOLES FOR THE RICH. BOTH PARTIES ARE ROTTEN TO THE CORE. DON@T WASTE YOUR VOTE. VOTE FOR CHANGE!

“So, to me, the countryside is - and should be - a living, breathing, working environment, not a museum. We must ensure appropriate protections for our magnificent landscapes, but we should recognise just how many of them, like the stone walls and grass fields of the Cotswolds, are man made. So we also need to support the industries that make the countryside thrive and help businesses find and keep a foot-hold.”

"A living, breathing, working environment..." And just how does the killing of foxes (and other animals) support a "living, breathing, working environment"? If we could ask a fox, I wonder what the fox would say to this.

Cameron is a bloody WANKER (pun intended) fox hunting/killing is an antiquated upper British caste STUPIDITY! The upper class/LESS were wont to show off their equestrian clothing, skills and their KILLING skills and then would have a jolly ole party, that is real class/LESS! NOT ONLY NO HELL NO! Do so hope the British do not allow the protection law to be removed.

A bunch of pompous, wealthy asses wanting to keep the tradition for their outdated tradition. It has been proven that foxes that have survived a hunt often suffer from lung and heart hemorrhage's and occasionally end up dying a slow and painful death via pneumonia. The dogs and horses often get hurt in barbed wire and, if injured badly enough, are often shot dead by the hunter instead of taking the dog or horse to a vet. Also, dogs often get hit by cars and fall down quarries when chasing foxes and on average 1 dog in every hound pack dies each season whether it be spring, summer, autumn or winter. The animals suffer for the sake of ignorance.

My vote may not count since I do not live in the UK but the overall message of the "NO" side hopefully will.
In the 21st Century, some "traditions" are not compatible with everyday realities. Great Britain is world-famous for being a nation of animal lovers. Fox hunting for sport does not exactly fit that image.

Voted NO and will vote again later....noted the comment Cameron made about the ban having no impact on animal welfare....welfare that's a joke...how about the poor fox that just gets torn to pieces I suppose he does not think that comes under animal welfare. It's just an election vote puller so the 'elite' hunting crowd will vote for him. Why can't they do drag hunting nothing suffers, it just says to me that the people who hunt foxes must get some kick out of the kill...

Hunting is a SKILL a SPORT---??? --NAW double NO .
I'm not alone but I know that thousands of other people live in areas where they can open their back door and see all kinds of creatures come into the yard where they could easily dispose of them.

We need to take the MACHO out of hunting and label it for what it is.....Murdering animals for FUN.

Sport?! A sport?! It's murder of a beautiful, innocent animal! Find something else to do, you privileged pigs. Help out at animal shelters, build more shelters with your money. Hunt each other with paintballs. Anything that doesn't involve any animals.
Thanks, Julie.

I voted no as bringing back hunting would be like going back to the dark ages. Animals should be allowed to live in peace without being chased for miles before being ripped apart by starved dogs. Plus as prime minister doesn't David Cameron have more important things on his mind than trying to suck up to hunters in the run up to the general election!

"A living, breathing, working environment..." And just how does the killing of foxes (and other animals) support a "living, breathing, working environment"? If we could ask a fox, I wonder what the fox would say to this.
On another note NOT everyone hunting is supposingly wealthy...many are just locals or people with little money...they just like the trill of the hunt........

I think we should compromise.....
one day we kill foxes...
the other day ...we kill hunters....
Seem fair to me...a good British compromise!

Elizabeth brown (20)

I think that Berny p has said the right things let 's take turns. The hunters must have the hounds after them and if caught they MUST be allowed to be ripped to pieces.OLE'.A very fair British compromise. I shall be out after the hunters which shall be a great thrill watching their ugly mugs contort in fear and pain we shall see how long it takes them to die .

Voting each day NO to never bring back fox hunting in my country.A******E Cameron is more interested in reinstating Jeremy Clarkson another A******E back on the tv show Top Gear instead of showing any compassion to our precious animals here in the UK as he loves killing innocent animals and ALL blood sports with all the other peices of nothing humans in this country who enjoy sadistic killing of our innocent wildlife.Fox hunting not only affects the foxes it also causes untold injuries to the poor horses and dogs who can also be killed if badly injured, and the beautiful Beagle puppies that are bred for fox hunting are treated no better as if they do not make the grade within a few months of training they are shot and killed and never found new homes, many innocent animals suffer because of this sickening barbaic so called sport,it includes women and young children who join the hunts with thier parents,we should be educating children to love and cherish our precious wildlife not murdering them for fun,so sickeing the thought of Cameron getting back into goverment in May!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you know that fox hunting was illegal in England and Wales and has been for 10 years?

--------------------------------
-League Against Cruel Sportshttp://www.league.org.uk/our-campaigns/hunting/league-investigators
The objective of the League Against Cruel Sports' Investigations Team is to gather evidence of wildlife crime and bring the criminals to justice. The team combines the knowledge and skills of experienced investigators, legal experts including a solicitor and ex-police officers.----------------------------------
-What you can do about Huntinghttp://www.league.org.uk/our-campaigns/hunting/what-you-can-do-about-hunting
You can support the League's Hunting campaign in a number of ways. ------------------------------
-What is Cub Hunting?http://www.league.org.uk/our-campaigns/hunting/what-is-cub-hunting
Cub hunting, as the name suggests, is the practice of hunting fox cubs rather than adult foxes. It is a type of hunting never spoken about publicly by the hunters as besides from being illegal, it is an abhorrent concept. -----------------------------------
-Tories to legalise fox hunting if they win 2015 general electionhttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/general-election-2015/11307715/Tories-to-legalise-fox-hunting-if-they-win-2015-general-election.html
The Hunting Act 2004, which prohibits the pursuit with hounds of various wild mammals in England and Wales, came into force under Labour in February 2005. The pursuit of foxes with hounds was banned in Scotland in 2003.------------------------------------------
-The Hunting Act - in 60 secondshttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/earth/countryside/11419141/The-Hunting-Act-in-60-seconds.html
The Hunting Act, was one of the most contentious pieces of legislation seen in modern political times - outlawing the killing of foxes, hares, mink and deer by dogs during hunts. Yet as the 10th anniversary of the Act approaches, the sport is more alive than ever. --There are more than 300 registered hunts in England and Wales and together they have carried out over 150,000 days hunting since the Act came into force.Today around 45,000 people regularly take part in hunting but some have argued that the Act itself is ineffective.--------------------------------------
-Footage captures a pack of hounds ripping a fox to shredshttp://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/earth/countryside/10245152/Footage-captures-a-pack-of-hounds-ripping-a-fox-to-shreds.html
The video shows a fox taking refuge under massive bales of hay for 25 minutes before hunt staff use terriers, sticks and hounds to force it into the open where the dogs bring it down and tear it apart. A huntsman then sounds his horn to signal the fox's death and picks up the carcass so the hounds can get a better attack. The release of the footage came as four members of the Middleton Hunt, based in North Yorkshire, pleaded guilty to hunting with hounds.

thx for reminding us Julie! still lagging the NOs :( (49.38% ) a shame how many seem to support that hunt.
If your PM wants to "ensure appropriate protections for our magnificent landscapes”, he best starts doing that by meaningful action such as banning fracking sprees and urgently acting against climate change, NOT by slaughtering foxes by way of what they call "sport". The hunters league don't give a damn about the landscape.

Fox hunting is an elitist past time it is not sport, otherwise the fox would also have a gun!!!
It is very wrong on every front, and I am revolted by the Eton lot, that wish for it's return,
many domestic animals are killed when the hunt is on, the dogs act like a pack, out of control,- if a small dog/ cat wanders around the it's own garden, - and the hunting dogs see it , they go after it, the pet gets the same treatment a fox gets, sickening,

We, the UK, are due to elect a new Government in May. Hopefully this will result in Mr Cameron and his cronies being kicked out of office and the main opposition party (Labour) getting a majority. Mr Cameron will then not be in a position to change any Laws. After 5 awful years we've had quite enough of this man and the rest of his Tory Party.

Voting NO every day and will do so up to the Election when i pray Cameron will be on his way OUT and no more sadistic conservatives in Goverment. This goverment also are starting to cull the badgers in June, i wrote to my local MP who is a women and is Conservative said they are hoping to increse the cull to other areas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yesterday while out i saw SEVEN dead badgers that had been hit by cars,it is upsetting to see them lying there so i always stop and move them out of the road so as far as i am concerned there is no need to cull our beautiful iconic bagers beacuse what with culling and deaths on the road their will be none left to see in the countryside. The conservatives are the green wellie brigade that go around killing our precious wildlife including pheasants, foxes, hare's,deer and birds of prey for the thrill of it as its BIG money and they call it a sport so the sooner they are out of the goverment the happier i will be and our wildlife can sleep easier at night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A big thank you Julie and to everyone for voting NO it means a lot to me to know you care too even though some of you do not live in the UK.THANK YOU Liz Xx

I do not oppose all hunting, but fox hunting with hounds is cruel and pointless. Voted 'no' twice.

Currently poll stands at 51.08% opposed and 48.92% in favor. However, 80% of the UK public supports the ban, so I'm not too worried that a bunch of gun fanatics are skewing the poll. No offense, Julie, but I find most of these online polls kind of a waste of time. A petition would be more meaningful and effective.

Bruce, I have much respect for you and I am open to any and all comments.
I refuse to even let a poll dictate what we animal activist believes is cruel and unethical, a so called "sport" with their yes's.
We need to speak loud and clear about how we feel about the horrible ways animals are being treated, any way we can. Therefore, seeing the No's ahead and us making a statement is I believe another way to let the torturers of animals know that we are not going anywhere.
We were ahead, then we fell behind and now we're ahead again with the no's.
Care2 members, animal advocates, don't give up, even if it's a stupid poll. So there! Ha-ha! Yes, a petition would be great. Hugs to you Bruce :) And thank you for voting no.

Thank you all again for voting No!
