She is an embarrassment to herself, her family and the state of Alaska. If I were her, after that many gaffes, I would not show my face in public. As Bill Maher says, she is devoid of the 'embarrassment' gene. She must be, how else could you explain it? She is too stupid to even know to be embarrassed. She makes George W. look like a member of Mensa. What an absolute dope!!!

Palin isn't the only brunt of the sarcasm here -- They've got Sarkozy saying he's been following Palin's campaign with his "special American advisor, Johnny Holiday." What a laugh!

Holiday, in actual fact, has been France's big rock 'n roll star for the last 40 yrs (at least), who, at 60-something is still going strong. He appears on TV commercials singing out in his inimitable throaty style the name of an optician: 'Optique 2000' ! Heady stuff, n'est-ce pas?

For income tax reasons, Holiday has lived abroad for many years, most recently in the States, which doesn't make much of a hero of him in my book, but his fans apparently don't care.

One of Sarkozy's first pieces of legislation was to reduce income tax for the super-rich -- it was advertised as an effort to repatriate 'national treasures' like Holiday, and footage & photos of the two of them were shown on the news, to promote the repeal of 'unjustifiably' high taxation that drives Franc's most 'illustrious' citizens abroad.

Instead of moving back to France, he left Monaco, or wherever he was, and settled in the U.S. So "Vive la France!"

but, surtout (especially), "Vive le Québec Libre!" for this clever duo and their prank!
