NOTHING of surprise here - it isn't even as though she was unaware of what was going on, I believe that she would have placed herself exactly there as a BIG finger to the animal advocates ... NO ACCIDENT - NO SHAME!!

She may be stupid, but many stupid people are dangerous. Your country must do everything in its power to get this woman out of her 'power chair'. And to think that she was on the VP ticket! Who in hell put her on that ticket? Or are they all as stupid and cruel as she is?

She isn't stupid she is cunning. She disregards animals and the environment because of her religious beliefs...Man has dominion over the animals etc. etc. ...a big lie...she is a short timer here on Earth because she and her family and friends and 144,000 LUCKY people will be chosen by none other than GOD to be RAPTURED INTO, what cares should she have about what happens on EARTH when she will be residing in HEAVEN...she'll be in HEAVEN. The rest of us sinners :) will be scorched by GOD...he has a scorched Earth I've been told.

I read all the comments and agree with all. Don't know if any were from Alaska; I am. I voted/not for her (vp or gov). She is an embarassment to intelligent Alaskans that care about our environment, telling the truth, and listening to a Viper that changes her story to suit her audience. Most people up here that voted for her were probably products of inbreeding! I could fill up several pages with #8 font size describing her ethical violations. She always gets her way and usually has a subordinate to pay for the damages (as in the Troopergate Issue) Thanks all for your comments.

The belief that animals were created to be our food and that we can do as we please with them is based on lies. Animals were created to be our companions and we were given 'dominion over them' meaning to be their guardians. I wish Christians would study the Bible and learn the truth and become compassionate. They have been deceived. Someday we will be held accountable to the Creator for every animal as said in Hebrews 4:13. Sarah is the result of Christianity which is silent and supports animal cruelty in our world of greed.
Even hunters in the Bible were not of God's chosen.
"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." Jesus
It is very disturbing to see how cold and indifferent she is towards the suffering of God's creatures.

no one is that clueless. She knew exactly what is going on. After all if she kills animals herself with no problem she doesn't care about what is going on behind her but why would she want to make such a display? To really piss off animal lovers.

I bet she didnt know what was going on. She was so into the camera. And blabing on. Trying to look and sound good, look at me! Nothing was going to stop her from being on tv. And that guy in the backround. I guess if your job is to kill turkeys all day, you dont need a good IQ. I wonder whos smarter, him, her, or the turkeys?

This is disgusting, the interview, the "farm," the appalling filth the birds are forced to live in. And then someone "pardons" them? From WHAT, exactly?? It's not as those these birds are the criminals here!

Note to Bette M. I have wondered my whole life about evil, and that is what Palin is, pure EVIL. There is a very interesting book called "People of the Lie" by M.Scott Peck, a catholic psychiatrist. He also wondered about this phenomonen of evil, he saw it often in his practice, and he describes how sometimes in the presence of particular patients, the hair would rise on the back of his neck. There is a condition called narcisism, and the best way I find to describe it is that it's not that these people don't care about the feelings of others, but to them, there is no one else. The most interesting thing, I think, that I learned from this book was that evil is predominant in powerful people, politicians and CEOs especially, and surprisingly (or not) many religious leaders. Anyway, reading it opened my eyes to evil, and unfortunately, it's everywhere. I believe that good and love are stronger than fear and hate and evil, but we must be ever vigilant and expose it to the light at every opportunity, evil only survives in the dark. Love, Eden

Eden Courtney (6)

Note to Jan F. - I agree totally about God's intentions with regard to animals and humans. God created animals first, God created humans second. I think that God must indeed, at times, have second thoughts about having created humans. Save the animals, save the planet, and we will save mankind, in that order. Love, Eden

Yes, I too think she knew exactly what was going on behind her, but she is so out of touch with reality that she couldn't see the wrong in it.

I will (again) say one thing tho..., it does America good to know AND BE REMINDED where their meat comes from. Maybe one day the folks who don't want to add to this misery will cut meat out of their diets.

I didn't like her from the moment she opened her mouth, she is as phoney as a three dollar bill & dumb as a rock. She talks & talks but nothing comes out that is even shows the slightest of intelligence. Brain dead & coldhearted. Hopefully she won't try to run for President in 2012, what a disaster for our country & people if she & Mc Cain had won.

Bob F (10)
Saturday November 22, 2008, 11:10 pm
I have to say, that I take offence that people say Sarah Palin is as dumb as a rock. Shes not that smart. When was the last time a rock ran its mouth like her? Never. Did you ever hear a rock say so much stupid stuff in your life? No, you didnt. Rocks dont do nothing to anyone till one of us humans come a long a mess with it. Its not like a rock can jump up and hit you on its own. (Ok, they do landslide some times, everything needs a litle fun.) But she goes on and on. I bet when she starts talking she could grind rocks to sand in that mouth. Some may say she has rocks in her head, but I know the rocks are to smart to be there. We need rocks, the earth is one big living rock. But we dont need her. Remember, rocks are our friends. Palin is not.

Calculated or not ? I think not, this is very bad for her 'career.'

She is now the laughing stock of the whole world -- my husband poined this clip out to me on the sites of the 2 Italian newspapers he reads.

She has received international over-exposure for this blunder. Wasn't smart enough to notice where the journalist was positioning her for the interview.

Too dumb to visualize where she was, what was in the background; too 'square' realize the surreal nature of the scene.

It's not for nothing she turned out to be the major embarrassment of McCain's campaign.

Her stupid babbling is that of an over-age cheerleader.

I agree that she knew where she was, but just didn't think (as usual) about what it would do to her "appearance". Truth be told, I wonder how she would feel to have someone grab her by the feet and force her head down into one of those shoots.....

Thank the Lord this idiot wasn't elected and I'll do my part to make sure she is NEVER elected to anything nationally. Her views are clear to what she thinks of animals with her air hunt of wolves and bears, like shooting fish in a barrel, so unfair, so evil. This woman is cold, and I guess I'm a bit bigotted, because she IS a woman, I expected MORE, more love, more compassion, more thought. She disgusts me on every level.

At first I thought this was satire about her image as an animal murderer. When I realized it was for real, I was shocked and sickened by this blatant slap in the face to us all. This was a little show primarily to shock and gross out us liberals and to say "I'm still here!"

I think this was a tactical move by those backing Palin for the 2012 presidency. I suspect Rove is behind this and a core group of old-school Republican neocons who forced Palin onto McCain as his running mate. These people picked Palin for her looks, lifestyle and bold ambition to do their bidding to try and win back control.

It doesn't matter that we like Palin or not. It doesn't matter than Republicans like her either. What matters is that she portray a glitzy, dipsy, "I don't care what you think" bible thumping, oil hungry, war-mongering image that represents this tiny group who will try to steal the election again in 2012. Yes, they will be back...with a vengeance.

Everything about this fake act Palin is doing - because this is not totally all her - says the 2012 attempt to steal the election will be like nothing we could ever imagine. This is why it is important to look beyond Palin and stop the neocons and the corruption before 2012. She represents a return of the horrendous Bush years --- 10 fold.

I suggest turning off the TV whenever Palin is on. Do not give those shows ratings. Without ratings, they will stop airing her.

Ok, I am very happy to see how all of you condemn the evil palin...

However, when it comes to the killing of animals, this is more or less what happens to animals worldwide before you can eat them (if you're not vegetarian).
So, if you are so chocked maybe you should consider becoming vegetarian. I have been one for 11 years and I am perfectly healthy and never intend to eat animals ever again.

If you think animals are killed in a 'humane' way, then think again...
Go to:

and watch all ten parts. It has Brazilian subtitles but it doesn't affect the video. I must warn you though that it is extremely violent.
It's your choice - either you want to see the cruel reality and open your eyes or just keep signing a few petitions and continue to eat meat as if it didn't come from animals who were once alive!

You can forward the link to your friends if yiu wish.

One thing I can assure you - you will never be able to see the world again as you did...But at least you will know the truth!!

Debra L (5)
Monday November 24, 2008, 11:44 am
I know, the killing of animals is far removed from us. All neatly packaged under clear cellophane, not a thought as to how they got there.

I was traveling last week, while in the hotel room I landed on a show on the Travel Channel, two men living with an indingenous tribe (where I just don't know) and they sacrificed a pig. It was horrible to watch, to hear. This animal had been kept almost like a pet, the cruel way it died wrentched my heart out. Yet, I know I'll remain a carnivore, if limitedly.

This Palin is a mother, a polictian, she knew this ugly act was being done and it didn't bother her, she didn't stop to think that children might be watching at dinner time with Mom and Dad. No feelings for those that are vegan or sensitve. It is just the sheer crudeness, unjustifiable coldness. This woman has NOTHING, nothing in her head, her heart or soul. The people of Alaska are so much better and this will be Palin's last turn at politics.

Sheila G (267)

heartless, thoughtless b****!
yah, she really seems to be pro life here, I suppose animals don't count to her, not until they line her pockets with money or fur.

Jeffrey Coolwater (148)
Monday November 24, 2008, 9:00 pm
Debra, I'm not criticizing you specifically but you raise a valuable point worth reflection.

If the killing of animals especially for food is so heart wrenching, to use your term, that more consideration should be given to children or vegans or other "sensitive" types before showing it, try considering how heart wrenching it must be for the animal victims themselves!

I'm not sure what your degree of familiarity is with the issues of ethics, speciesism, or abolitionist animal rights (as opposed to animal welfarism), but all these issues address precisely that consideration!

That is the indoctrination of society, each of us FROM BIRTH, which removes ALL of our consideration for and sensitivity to the horrific suffering - the exploitation - we subject ALL other species to every day!

With a little more consideration, or should I say self education of the subjects, you and most other human carnivores (like myself at one time) would easily decide no living sentient being is ours to use... in any way.

After viewing some pretty awful under cover video of the routine treatment of animals - on fur and food farms, in slaughterhouses and laboratories, in zoos and circuses, even on the high seas, I quickly made that compassionate connection which released me from ALL participation in these evil charades.

I say, "Let the children see". Then they will know what kind of society we are and what laws need to be changed when they grow up!

Debra L (5)
Tuesday November 25, 2008, 5:01 am
Can't disagree with anything you have said Jeff. When I watched that show on Travel Channel, I wondered if the animal was thinking "what did I do?" after having been so well loved and cared for before.

Still, to stand there while knowing such a cruel act was going on behind you...the "children" have seen and won't forget it.
