McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell -- which one are you craving today? It's pretty likely that you have a favorite fast food chain and that you love many of the tasty options offered at these restaurants. It's hard to miss them.

Oh, nooooooooooo . . . Not my quarter pounder with cheese (no onions)! (The McRib sandwiches NEVER appealed to me.)

But, in all honesty, the more of these facts I learn, the less I even want fast food, which I only ate about once a month while out running errands anyway.

Thanks for the public service announcement, Freya.

Having moved away from all the junk, processed food and having become vegan, I realise I have no more cravings.
It was not an easy job, especially living in a III World country where not much is available
But I learn something new every day, I read and do research.
Definitely will share your article.
Thank you

Once I moved from the coast into a rural area that didn't have these sorts of restaurants available for a midnight snack, my health and that of my entire family began to skyrocket. If you really analyze what is in almost every processed food, it would turn your stomach. So much better to buy local and eat whole REAL foods. Cheaper in the long-run too!

That's very true, Kamia.

For over a year and a half, I lived up on Paint Mountain (part of the Smokies). Even just to get a carton of milk, the nearest store was about 8 miles down the mountain . . . and the nearest fast food was 12 more miles after that.

You're right, when it's that inconvenient, you learn to make your own snacks from scratch.

My favorite fast food restaurant is Subway. I don't crave anything from McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, or Taco Bell.

It is good that not all people are like me, otherwise all those fast food companies would be bankrupt.

Even the veggies - salads in fast foods are questionable, I prefer my own organic foods, be they veggies, fruit or meat, dairy...fast food means less quality and factory farm, GMO.
