The struggling corporate giant behind The Olive Garden, Longhorn Steakhouse, and other national restaurant chains is forcing tens of thousands of workers to effectively pay rent on their own money.

The only way this is going to be prevented is by more people becoming aware of it. . .

Shared over social media to spread awareness, Freya.

This is crazy! And I'm not sure that I believe the Darden spokesman who said that a lot of this was untrue--including that the company does offer other payment methods as company policy.

Not really AniMae, we can thank Reagan for the start of the destruction of our unions and many Republican held States are Right To Work States. Meaning you have NO rights.

But people do need to organize and everyone go out on strike if need be and shut the damn places down if the Corporations don't smarten up. Frankly at this point all these Corporate chains can go, give me the small Mom and Pop stores that I grew up with.......one had better service, the employees and the shoppers were all considered part of the community and the extended family.

My daughter had to use one of these cards and she wasn't given an option, you either accepted it or don't come back, you have no job. And yes, there are fees of all sorts and when people are being paid such low wages every dollar counts.

Damn crooks these Corporations.......the fat cats earn millions the Shareholders without doing much earn a lot and the laborers are used and abused over and over again.

Do the restaurants get a kickback from the banks?
