Thanks Freya--some very dedicated people with excellent reasons for their decisions. The upper story is not apt to get flooded with storm surges predicted, either.

I saw that Hemingway's granddaughter Mariel was begging the man to leave but he refused to because he wanted to be there for the cats. I cannot give stars now, starting tonight. Who knows WHY?!

Everyone survived! Th cats knew to go into the house before the storm even hit. Cats are so much smarter than humans.

Amazing that these people cared so much for these cats and the house that they would risk their life, but as it was said, the house survived many hurricanes.
