I have heard about this on Coast to Coast-a late night radio show that talks about such things as this and aliens. I listen every night.
What do you think causes this?\Too much gas in the intestine.

I've read accounts of other cases where there were witnesses and in one case an entire room full of witnesses. I've also read about a man that survived because his wife already had a pan of water in her hand and acted immediately to put out the fire (blue flames) that started on his rear shoulder.

With no more than is known about SHC, Stephanie, your guess is as good as anyone's. My guess would be a chemical imbalance and a cosmic radiation ignition source, but that's just a guess.

Have heard of this before - and Stephanie - Coast to Coast is great - on too late for me now and can't afford the cost - I knew why once or at least a theory - but forget.

I think you should have warned before the horrible pictures. And - I've heard from that "mysteries" before on Television, and they said their that you could explain every single case that has been reported.

This is one good reason to never hold in bowel gas - let it expel, better to cause a momentary odor than to combust!
