Area boaters have reported pods of dolphins that do flips and leap like trained dolphins, coming close to boats in Charlotte Harbor and acting like escapees from SeaWorld.

I suppose it is not the first time that humans wish to pass on their bad habits to other animals... look a cats and dogs...

Maybe that's why dolphins love us so much: bad corp Amerika garbage that is ingested daily? I don't know but I don't think I would feed a wild animal unless it was in crisis. Dolphins with happy faces don't look very hungry. But they are sweet!

Thanks Agnes for the informative article. This isn't healthy or safe for the dolphins. Humans should leave them alone.

It is one thing to love all mother nature has blessed us with and protecting their natural habitat, but to F them up with our DIET is so WRONG! We bipeds with a supposed "superior" brain are now dealing with 2 insane realities! 1. Turning out children as young as 4 years with type 2 diabetes or sadly 2. 25% of families going hungry HERE IN THE USA.

Just a couple of days ago a tour operator in Florida had his hand bitten off by an alligator, he was ILLEGALY FEEDING THE ALLIGATOR! yes, of course I have empathy for the man who had his bitten off, but the sad fact is the alligator was caught, KILLED and the man's hand is being re-attached, hopefully? But hey, if we CANNOT OR WILL NOT CARE FOR OUR OWN KIND, how dare we tell mother nature what to.

Thanks Agnes. I wish people would think more about the consequences of their actions where animals are concerned.

If its illegal to feed dolphins,I guest people don't mine paying a hefty fine for that. You go to the ZOO and see a large sign saying,"DON'T FEED THE ANIMALS",why take that chance of getting in trouble.(O_O)

Poor babies!! I never realized feeding them would cause harm to them, not that I've ever done it in an uncontreolled environment. TY Agnes, good to know.
