No doubt, it's some human cause as is most often the case.

This is sad! makes one wonder if it's some kind of disease they have caught that transfers from the Mother to the baby or if it's something in the water that the infants can't handle!

On and on and on - Suspect that the birds discussed aren't the problem, as they have likely been around doing that for a long time. I agree with Roseann the most likely suspect is human endeavor of some kind

It is only the greed for money of the biggest corporations such as BP and Shell who pollute the oceans and hence the fish. They do not want or have not understood yet: 'Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught, will they realize they cannot eat money.'

So sad. It's like the sea lion pups in California. We are driving wild animals crazy with pollution, poison, noise, fire, weapons, and hatred.

Very unfortunate and sad, hopefully a cause will be found and perhaps more deaths can be prevented.
