Bulletproof Sam is a dogfighting survivor. He was rescued along with 16 other dogs in Jacksonville, FL in Feb, 2012. The 8-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier fought for most of his life and managed to survive. His face bears the scars. Grab a tissue!

I think it would take some very sick minds to understand dog fighting. Sam has a home and his is finally safe.
That's all that really counts now. Though I sure wouldn't mind seeing those that hurt Sam, and we know they hurt others, going off to jail.

A happy ending for Sam, sadly theres many many dogs still in this situation. More action needs to be taken against the barbaric people that use animals in this way

I so wish that the rubbish scum of the earth that put these beautiful dogs into fighting, get savaged by them. Poor Sam, he is so disfigured but just exudes such love and happiness. What a cruel life he had to live before he found such compassionate humans to care for him. May his life forever be filled with happiness, love, peace, walks, hugs, food and loads of kisses.

A dream come true - in two ways, one that he got out of that hellhole and into a pitbull sanctuary where he was already safe, and two that he got his forever home. I wish this brave boy a wonderful long and happy life. I am crossing my fingers and toes that all will go well and that he will be very much loved for the rest of his time. Sam, you're adorable! xxxx

My heart is so happy for him. He deserves all the love and treats his little ol soul can stand and then some. What a sweetheart. I hope his forever home knows just how special he really is. I think they do. :)

As for the dogmen......what I would like to see done to them is not printable ...... but it has to do with dirt pits and......Karma.

I am just amazed at the resilience of dogs like Sam. Their capacity to love even after so much horrible abuse should be a lesson to all of us. I hope his abusers get the karma they so richly deserve. May the sun shine on your back Sam and the wind forever fill your sails. A lifetime of love and play should be yours forever. Thanks again for such a wonderful happy ending story Nicole.
