In an age when homes include four-car garages, media rooms and man caves, one company is bucking the trend.

Noted and thank you Lone. I have a little house and after years in big houses I just love it. Easy to keep clean not hours cleaning. Can spend time outside or reading, walking the dogs. Just great. Have solar hot water, solar power, own water supply and grow own vegies and fruit. It took us a long time to turn a dwelling into home and people thought we were mad. Now they wish they had our little house and little slice of heaven. We did this way and have always been debt free on this property.

Wonderful article, thanks for sharing. I guess we all have to learn to go back to basic living in order to save Mother Earth.

I would love a little house. With 4 cats, 2 birds who do not live in cage, and 2 dogs it could be hard but I am definitely thinking of something small. Truly I couldn't live in something too small (or could I?) but I have to be able to fit my animals in. I log ethe tiny houses though and abhor those humongous houses. What a waste of resources and energy.

Noted. It is good for someone who doesn't require much space but I need a much larger area.

Having a house at all is a Blessing. So MANY refugees and homeless. I like this idea and Tolkien.

After 12 years of living in a tiny space, I dream of something just a little bit bigger, even just one room added on would be nice. But these are really sweet. I love the hobbit house idea.

Just buy a used camper or travel trailer and add extra insulation and solar on the roof and there is your energy efficient tiny house.

Semplicemente meraviglioso! Questo č il mio sogno che si avvera. Anch'io ho quattro animali, ma non mi preoccuperei in merito, penso che loro sarebbero molto pių felici in una casa come questa. Grazie per la preziosa informazione.

I looked at their houses yesterday and if they can get it to possibly Vermont (I ma thinking of moving there) I would love one. Small they are but from what I saw it looks like one could be a possibility. I just need room for my animals but am fantasizing about a small house with land.

I love this concept but wish that more options were available in sizes that were more similar to what one could find in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Give me four rooms (and lots of storage) and I'll be content.

I've lived in London for 20 years, so some of these might be considered spacious.
