Astronomers have reported that a comet - dubbed Comet 2013 A1 - is heading for Mars and that there is a small but significant chance that it will strike the Red Planet in October 2014....

The title ought to read "Comet Heading Towards Mars!"

PLEASE, let's not have anyone declaring that this is a sign of the beginning of the end, or Nostradamus predicted....

It's going to destroy Christmas! (Green men, red planet--green and red...)

More seriously, I wonder how, if the collision does occur, that will affect life on earth. Tidal waves and other gravitational effects at minimum, I expect.
