*****" Elections where everyone is allowed to vote is as surely an environmental issue as clean air and clean water.

How would this be an environmental issue!? I guess I have a problem with this issue because everyone has voting rights and nobody is being stopped from voting. All I have seen is some people have a problem with showing an ID in order TO vote. That isn't stopping anyone! It's no different than someone going to buy a pack of ciggies..they have to show an ID or they can't buy them so why should being able to vote be any different I ask!?

Carol, I have no idea where you live, but for too many states there is no longer equality in voting - not since SCOTUS tore out one o fhe main checks to keep many states in balance. TheGOPT held states are now redistricting in such a way that the GOPTP will win. In other words, they're being allowed to cheat with the Supreme Court's blessing.

The changes in voting hours, the changes in absentee ballots, the changes in who can vote where...can you get the idea now that it isn't just about the IDs, though that is a part of it. All of these will lead to voters not being allowed to register, to vote, to even get to the voting place.

Then of course there are the Bully Boys, intimidation is their game...unless you've lived through the 50s and 60s, before the equal rights amendment was put through, you have No idea of how this works...the KKK were especially good Bully Boys back then.

Unless US AG Holder can stop it...the first test is TX. Other states to follow, if TX changes can be declared unconstitutional...

Gladly signed. All it takes is actually paying attention to see that more and more people are having a harder time to vote.
