Tiny living is really perfect - we are fortunate to live on a narrowboat in the UK. We are free spirits and can wander the canals in summer months. Many people live on narrowboats as it is a cheap alternative to owning property in expensive cities like London... if you don't know what a Narrowboat is - it is a legacy of the 200 year-old canal system (the transport at the start of the Industrial Revolution) that is still in use today.

Go have a look at this Youtube video - you'll love it! (It's not mine, but it shows alternate living styles)

For those who want a mimimalist lifsyle, I suppose these are possibilities. With pets. these are just not practical.

I would be happy in a studio as long as there was a nice big bathroom with a tub

You'd be surprised Allan - I've seen people live on Narrow boats like mine with up to 3 big dogs... they like to sleep on top of the boats very often. Other pets I've seen in these relatively tiny homes are cats, fish, birds and small furry creatures too. I've even seen a Narrowboat topped with turf with a chicken in a coop housed on top. People can be very innovative. And of course - all these pets have the open countryside (in many cases) for their excercise.

Amazing. You couldn't live in one of these if you were untidy!

Perhaps because I am in London these don't appear that small.

I would like to live in that house on the rock! Cool, but my dream is a houseboat though...
