Look at this as one piece of a puzzle and then decide who cares more about people and I think you'll be able to see who would make the best POTUS.

There are many things that determine if someone would be a good POTUS --- it's like a jigsaw puzzle. The ability to lead, to listen, to be decisive, a visionary, a listener, some one who can interpret desires into meaningful direction and legislation, dedicated, and energetic to name a few. What is one way that you can tell the cloth that the person is cut from? Look at the charitable donations. This chart is in percentages as their incomes are different, but that makes it the best measure. What we don't know is what these men supported with their charitable donations, but if we put them all on an even playing field and say they benefitted the American people, then the measure is again even. This would seem to indicate that Mr Obama has a deeper concern for people. We already know some of the other pieces of the puzzle --- Romney is a corporate chopshopist putting people out of work and dismembering companies to make his millions; Gingrich likes to play musical wives when the current Mrs is ill; and Santorum would like to 'enslave' American women, or at least keep them barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen.

First of all, Mittens tithes, so i don't think the Mormon church, or any church for that matter should count as charitable or altruistic giving.
So that probably leaves Santorum out also if he writes off what he gives to the Catholic church to buy God off.
Unless he gives to a charity that has something to due with his daughters medical condition, which is fine by me.

And Newtie can't count medical bills and alimony to his first two wives.
And someone needs to tell him Tiffanys isn't a registered charity. Thanks Lynn

Thanks Lynn. And we know that Romney's money is going to the Mormon church to help fund anti-gay movements like Prop 8 support in CA. How charitable!

I have to wonder if Dickens were alive today would he still use John Jacob Astor as his model for Scrooge? Or perhaps one of our many extremely wealthy, yet equally greedy as the model?

LOL Ellen. I hear ya. Love the way you put it.

Every time I hear the media report...or they have a talking head on that WHINES about our president being too 'cold' too 'distant' too stand-offish' too 'remote' or 'doesn't associate with members or his party or the GOP' I wanna hurl!!!! If I were the prez I wouldn't wanna hang out with any of them either. President Obama puts his family and his wife ahead of 'rubbing elbows' or 'stroking egos'. He also puts intense thought and worry for the American people ahead of all those fake, egotistic, obsenely rich, BOUGHT politicians of both parties. He gives of his wealth and of his person to those less fortunate or less well off or totally disenfranchised completely. Just because he doesn't want to play well with the other children in the sandbox doesn't mean the man isn't doing his job or is uncaring about the rest of us. I'd rather have President Obama in the White House now and for another 4 years than ANY of these GOP clowns running. All of them are proven idiots, sociopaths or religious zealots who care not one pennies worth of compassion for anyone other than themselves or their 'chosen people'. What would you want, what choice would you make between the clowns who pay lip service to their suppossed 'Christian' values or the man who actually practices them? I know my choice (since this is the only lineup we will get this year) and it isn't the GOP fools.
