What, you might ask, is a Nevada Leg Hound? It is our Senate Majority, a worthless piece of lying DINO crap, who just betrayed his party and an overwhelming majority of the American people. ... he humped Mitch McConnell's leg, whined, rolled over, and ...

I think it should be fairly clear to both moderate Republicans and Democrat supporters, which I think are the majority within both parties, that both sides are being played and it's time supporters on both sides began thinking of the Green Party, Justice and Indy Parties period as the only hope for a better future for all. The drama of D.C. just keeps everyone divided and that works very nicely for the D.C.. Perhaps if D.C. got the message that there is more talk about ending all support for both of them and spend time promoting change through the other Parties instead of just taking sides and instead of spending time critizing either, take that time to spend talking about the alternative parties....but absolutely NOT... 'groups' like the Teabagger Klan/John Berch Society etc...for they are as deep in the quick sand of insaniTea as the politicans are in Corporate quick sand. By doing that we might be able to come together with our support and ideas, campaigning, demanding changes 'or else neither the Dems. nor the Rpubs will get our votes ' from this moment forward..with demanding petitions and all ...we might be able to bring about the change that people deserve . Number one effort should somehow be to end the choke hold Corporates have on government....that SCJ ruling giving the green light to Corporates to control our present politicans...Our continueing to going with either Republcian or Democrat Party isn't going to cut it , in my opinion...which has been my honest one for ..well some time now. We had little choice to do more than keep Obama in office which has given the people some edge and time to come up with alternative/solutions..which at this time to me mean..dump both the Repub and Dem parties...as fast as the elections can come and go. Until then...maybe ..your parties both suk so unless you get with the people ,more than than the Corporates/Wall Street, we are going to replace you all...kind of mindset from now own. Just say'n.........

Racism, guns and insaniTea are all just tragidies waiting to happen while D.C. spins it's wheels in quick sand for everyone but themselves and Wall Street. Corporates can buy all the politicans they care to and that does make it all but impossible to have a governing body that actually has the nation and all of it's citizens as it's focal point.

This 'Nevada Leg ' is not just a slap in the face to us but a double one as their thinking this slap will just keep people angry and divided as to Repub or Dem......when in reality they are the same Fricken Party. That has been Wall Streets agenda for a few decades now....from Reagan forward without a doub tin my mind...and the final details were set in place during Dubya's terms as President. Supreme Court Justice ruling as to the corporate spending...just finalized the deal/corporate take over.

Thanks Lynn for the post and link to TomCat's Blog. I was very disappointed in the result and was hoping for much more. I suppose I should look at it as a step in the right direction but I just can't. The DC in Washington D.C.should stand for "dusting and cleaning" in the 2014 elections. Read and noted.

Thanks Lynn and Carrie. Lynn - I looked for this yesterday - but couldn't find it no matter how I phrased ;Lynn's News' in the search bar - then this morning it went wrong again! Is Care2 having a bit of trouble at the moment?

Hi Pat --- I got up late so you may have been looking before I posted it for TC. Please send me an e-mail as I haven't been able to transfer over my address book to the new computer. Different system right now that is driving me a little wacko. Thanks

TC — "…his foolishness to believe that he is protecting the filibuster for future Democrats. If Republicans ever take the Senate again, you can be sure that their first order of business on day one will to eliminate the filibuster completely…"

Exactly! If we can see that, why can't Harry Reid? Since the rule of establishing the rules comes up once every two years, Harry could at least fix things for these next two years. And if Harry says he has an agreement that McTurtle won't do away with the filibuster completely in a future Republican/Teabagger dominated senate, or won't use the filibuster indiscriminately, man do I have a big bridge to sell him. McTurtle only knows how to lie.

The other day I made a comment about Harry Reid appearing to have difficulty managing the stairs at the Inauguration. Well I think it was because he was a little lightheaded from self castration. He lost his balls on this one! Is his middle initial 'J' for Judas?

We here on CARE2 must stop this name calling and party bashing. We are no better than the politicians themselves when we behave this way. I concur with Jae that this serves to obfuscate the need and importance of a third or even a fourth party in our country. We on CARE2 need to be disgusting issues and not calling names. A guy by the name of Obama even said that in his recent innaugural speech.

Noted. Last year, (and probably the yr. before that, as well), I signed letters and petitions to Reid to change that filibuster rule on the first Senate day. I watched and waited....nothing! So, when it came back around this year, it got major media and internet attention; and I thought that was great--surely he'd act this time around. Then he decided to "expand the 1st day" to last weeks...I smelled something brewing, but still hoped. Oh, well--at least others have "caught on" as I have now. Our voices mean nothing. I asked my husband today if we could seriously look for a way not to pay our taxes....since we are taxed, but not represented.

I agree with Jae...it is all one party now...the FASCIST party. They are all owned (save a few) by their corporate overlords and they are the ones pulling the strings of the purses. It is time to begin again and this time without these two so-called parties. More parties equals less divisiveness amongst the people and they really hate it when we the people unite.

One way or another, 2014 is going to be very important. Do not take your eyes off the ball.
