International corporations have no national allegiance, they care only for profit. Meanwhile, people all over the world are becoming increasingly nationalistic and xenophobic.

I posted an article not too long ago about tax havens and their prevalent use by corporations. At that time, I said that the solution was a global approach. Well it seems I'm in good company as that is what Reich is saying. So man the barricades.

corporations should pay taxes on profit: and most any country would do or the UN

...and if the ordinary hard working citizen tried to do what these Corporations ARE doing, they would be found to be acting illegally AGAINST the state and governments...

America is owned by corporations. Unfortunately, even our politicians are owned by corporations. Somehow we need to get corporation money out of the hands of the politicians if America is to survive.

As Beth so rightly said, our politicians are nothing more than legislative mouthpieces for the lobby group thery sold out to.

Ditto to all comments - I was having fun with the religious stuff - but now face the truth - corporate global control! As the globe is warming, we need to make global initiatives holding these monster corporations responsible. Thanks for the post!

They want us to turn on each other because if we get our heads out of our behinds and band together, those corporate hogs will be BARBECUE!

I think most of us are aware and frustrated by the hold that corporations have on our country but it's even more frustrating to know that those we elected to represent us are the biggest defenders and supporters of these corporations.

We can help alleviate this. STOP purchasing APPLE products . Use their website to tell them that you will return to the clan ONLY WHEN they start paying taxes on all their income. Right now they have hidden billions in Ireland where a conflict of laws allows them to pay no taxes in either country. this is an offshore tax dodge of monumental proportions.

Divide and conquer; quite Machiavellian when you think about it. Keep the disposable assets and useful idiots dumbed down through poor schooling; entertainment and media and whatever else works to our advantage. Give them bread and circus until we need them.
I often suggested that 300 million Americans standing up to these corporations and politicians and refusing to pay taxes until strong revisions are in place regarding taxes and spending would be an Awesome Sight. It would chill them right to the bone.
Then again when Deustche Bank and Credite Suisse are the biggest recipients of TARP money it makes you wonder doesn't it just who's zooming whom?

Noted, tweeted, shared, tweeted, shared. We all know that corporations aren't people; unfortunately we have elected people who are into politics for the money and power and lobbyists persuade them to do the bidding of the corporation instead of the people. We elect these people because they appeal to our bigotry and ignorance. We can stop any time we want or at least we can now, but that would require less prejudice and more education.
