If corporations that made BILLIONS in profits every year donated a sliver of that, that would make a huge difference!
If factory farming was stopped and the land used to grow the food for the animals was used for food for humans, no one would ever be hungry again!
If extremely rich people lived for ONE DAY how poor people live everyday, they would donate alot more. (Kim K gave her bf of 2 months a $750,000 car. IMAGINE THE FOOD that could be bought with that! I usually pay no mind to celebs, but this really hit a nerve. Im below the poverty line and that money would last me a whole LIFETIME.)
The brands participating are brand names and are more expensive than generic. but that they are trying to make a difference is AWESOME! Thank YOU!
HUGE profit mongers like walmart should do something like this with their great value brand. THAT would make a huge difference in that MORE people could and would help.
But hey EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS!

Thx Barb! and sorry everyone for going off there...I just HATE that ANYONE ANYWHERE SUFFERS for a MINUTE when there is MORE than enough to go around.

But it's good to see it here and I'm glad you re-posted it. Also remember Box Tops For Education "DO" have an expiration date........!

This is a wonderful idea....but I checked my recent purchases of Healthy Choice meals, and while they did have the Pushpin on the package, there was no code. Very disappointing not to be able to participate.

Thanks. I agree with Gina. I have book marked the page but seriously doubt I will be buying any of those products. We have given up processed foods, and everything in plastic or BPA lined cans....which doesn't leave much that you can buy in a grocery store. We grow our own organic food and buy organic at a local food co-op. We will be donating some of our crops to the local food bank at any rate.

Thank you Barb and Regina ! I don't buy these labels, but it's easy enough for me to do the next time I'm in the grocery store to write the code down. I will save this in my folder. And thanks for your comment Gina.

It makes me so sad hearing about starving kid, and even more when it happens in the USA. So many rich people and companies and they should be civilized!

I think all supermarkets & restaurants should donate their sell by stuff to the homeless though instead of throwing it away as most usually happens. Charities could offer to pick it up at the end of the day and deliver to where needed
