WOW. There really are no words to describe what you're about to see here. After one dog gets hit by a car, another dog comes to his rescue in a remarkable way. You have to see this to believe it.

I can't watch it - it makes me cry.

My fantasy - that I win the lottery someday and can fund, among other things, all the no kill shelters in my community and beyond. Hope this someday comes true.

This is absolutely fantastic but I can't help it tearing my heart to ribbons ,the more we learn about animal intelligence, emotions and loyalty ,the more horrified I am at the abuse they go through at the hands of humans . One day these abusers will be faced with their crimes and it will tear their hearts apart too ----I hope.

.I was about to drive home from work one day when a cat was hit by a car in front of me ,I went back into work and cried and shook ,there was NO WAY I was driving home until the poor cat was moved ,my employer moved the body and promised to inform all the neighbors ,else I was going nowhere, she was Chinese and could not understand why I was so upset . She would often joke about how Alsatian tasted bitter and how poodles tasted much better.

Thx. Barbocat. I needed that. I'm with my friend Marilyn when it comes to watching videos anymore. They make me too angry, make me cry and upset my stomach, but I read the comments first and saw that it was going to be a Good video with a Happy outcome. Couldn't send you a green star so huggles. No time to check my 400 e-mails. Wanna check on my Horse and Frog groups real quick because Severe storms rolling in now and gotta upplug everything. Glad I at least seen this.

Very neat, thanks to that other dog who helped and pulled the first one off the road. Now that's intelligence, that's awareness, that's help, that's altruism (helping somebody else with no thought of benefit to yourself). Still don't like how nobody slows down or stops but I guess it's rather impossible at such fast speeds. Dog should get a medal, or at least a life of good food and fun and attention after that.

Agree with BarbCat, people DO help dogs and other animals. Not enough but a lot do.

Annie, I would have given that Chinese lady a scathing piece of my mind.

I believe in reincarnation. From what I've heard, people don't go backward on the cycle to insects, or animals, but this sure makes me think about that! This is way too weird to think the rescue dog was not a human in the last reincarnation!!! As in Oops! I forgot, I'm supposed to be a dog in this life! Whatever...this is good karma for both pooches!

Amazing. The sound doesn't work on my computer so I don't know what happened to the dogs. Hope they are OK. Is this the same video that came out about a year ago where the dog that was hit went to the vet and the other went to a shelter?

Thanks Barb, got me choked up - to quote Kenneth L. "Now that's intelligence, that's awareness, that's help, that's altruism (helping somebody else with no thought of benefit to yourself). " - with out a doubt ! Amazing !
My Persian one night noticed I was having problems walking in my darkened hallway - I had unwittingly turned out all other lights and when I turned off the hallway light I was still "blinded' from the previous light- he came over meowing, rubbing up against my leg, nudging me; I leaned down to pet him and he moved away, so I searched for him again; he had his tail stight up in the air; I lightly touched it and he began moving , stopping if I lost contact with the tip of his tail - he guided me to the nearest light and stopped; I felt around and found the switch - I was amazed - he was so happy to help me - so I have done it intentionally a number of times now, just to make sure - and he is right there evry time to guide my way in the dark - some of my friends do not believe me - but God, Kiwi (my Persian), & I know the truth..
Kiwi is the most intelligent Persian I have ever had; as with most of them; he is so Loving . . . . .and VERY Loved.

This video has been around for a while but I never grow tired of it. I just find it very disturbing that no one stopped to help either dog. Do cars in whatever god forsaken country this happened in not have brakes? More likely the people have no hearts.

OMG! I hate to be the bearer of bad news (sorry I didn't check this before my first post, Kamryn), but upon further research, I found the website of the narrator, Sonny Melendrez ( Unfortunately, the dog who was hit has since died and the saviour dog ran away.

I had hoped for a happy ending with the 2 dogs being adopted together, or the first dog being healed, but I found out otherwise and couldn't walk away in good conscience without posting the truth.

I hope we're still speaking, BarbCat.

Thanks BarbCat....I have seen this before, it is amazing. It shows how much compassion animals really have. Some people could learn a lesson from this dog. You could see this by watching all the cars drive right on by the poor dog, without a care in the world. They may be in this situation one day and wish somebody would stop and help them. This sweet dog is a real HERO!!!!

I was so happy they made it out (why did no one else stop although it was busy) and sad to learn that one died and the other ran away. My heart breaks for these animals who are out there trying to survive against all odds and as in this case are too afraid of people to stick around even when help is available.

Animals have brains but no understanding of knowledge, Humans have knowledge but no brains, if they (Humans) did have brains they would not do all the horrible things that they do!!!

A "HUMAN" driving a car hits the dog and just leaves it, other cars see the dog and keep driving, but a "DOG" has more compassion for the other dog and helps him, who is the real beast here!!
