This cat is using up its nine lives fairly fast. According to The (Palm Springs, Calif.) Desert Sun, a small, female kitten survived a 25-mile ride in a van's engine after hiding in the vehicle for protection from four attacking canines.

I had a cat ride in my engine once. I never even heard it because the radio was on. A motorcyclist stopped at the lights blocked my car and made me pull over to save the scared little kitten. There is a happy ending. I took the kitten to work and it was adopted that day.

She was one lucky girl. Not good press for the pit bulls though.
My cat was in a car engine once and luckily I found her before the person started the car. I was grateful that she was pretty much and indoor cat except for one strange phase she went through.

So glad the kitten was saved. How did the dogs get to the car? Where the dogs loose? Is this car parked in the back yard. I would be concerned about these dogs getting out. Wonder is they got a hold of this kittens siblings.

As pups, the dogs aren't yet aware of their capabilities; pups should always be supervised. My experiences with young adult 'pit bulls' and Staffordshires are with dogs who know they are all but immune to anything small children try to do to them and understand that a strong push with the nose teaches much more effectively than a bite. Great dogs; parental supervision of contact with children and dogs is mandatory! As for contact with kittens, many dogs, especially shihtzus, chows, chihuahuas, pomeranians, and similar small active breeds are much more likely to be aggressive than Staffordshires in these cases.

The thought of what would have happened to her had she not been able to successfully hide is awful. She needs a good home.

What a cutie! Poor thing having to run and hide like this. I'm surprised at all the energy she had at 7 weeks old!

The dogs were only going by their instinct NOT because they're pits!

I'm glad the kitty is safe and hope she gets a loving home soon...she's adorable!

Fender-Linx Is one Lucky kitten!!! She must be awful smart to hide like that from the dogs and she must be very brave to ride for 25 miles under the car like that!!

I wish her lots of love and safety in her new home when she gets one!!!
