I Saw the Ghost of My Cat - Catster

The summer before my 14th birthday, my family and I went to our local animal shelter to adopt a dog. We came home with a dog and two cats -- Iris, a mostly white calico, and Purr Bear, a long-haired black-and-white Maine Coon lookalike.

I haven't ever seen my cats' ghosts as much as I've felt their presence. And even feeling their presence doesn't happen very often anymore. However, what happened to this cat owner is TOTALLY 'PAWESOME!'

My friend's dad who never believed in ghosts...saw their cat's ghost twice. Once super clear and once...a more faded.

Me too BarbCat. I've definitely felt my own cat's presence. Didn't see her though.

AMAZING is right!! What I wouldn't give to see my beloved long black haired cat 'Spooky' the way she saw Iris.

My experience is a bit different than this, but I have been the "crazy squirrel lady" for years. I also used to have a guinea pig, Noel. My first squirrel earned the name Rambo. Well, on the day that Noel died, I didn't take it very well. I was standing on the porch because I didn't want to be in the house for a while~ Noel died in my bedroom. While I was on the porch, Rambo came running up the stairs. Funny thing is, I hadn't seen Rambo in a very long time. I also didn't see where she came from. She walked around my feet for a couple of minutes, never ate a crumb, and then ran off into some bushes, and I never saw her again. I believe with all my heart, and no one will ever convince me otherwise, that Rambo really had been gone, but she came to me when Noel died. Rambo took Noel with her and let me know that they are both okay. Now, they wait for me~ along with probably 100 other squirrels! Noel is in good company!

Whenever I had a problem I always saw a calico cat that looked much like mine that went missing when I was a girl. As a spiritualist I believe very much in these stories of messages and visions from the afterlife. Blessings

Very touching. I still get glimpses of my Princeton under the table. Sometimes I even hear his 'Mrwooow' when he wants something, and we lost him last spring. I don't believe our pets ever really leave us.

I never saw an animal ghost but I had a pet visit me in a dream. it felt very real--like astral traveling. A dog I was very close to, and had given to a friend. i felt like I had abandoned him, and always feel guilty, even now years later. We had a very special bond. When he came to me in the dream i was thinknig he might be dying of old age so I called to find out and was told he was fine. In the dream he had returned ot my childhood home, a place he never knew, and lay dying with his paw in my hand. It felt very very real. A lab-pit. I saved his life twice and he saved mine twice--but that is another story.

I've seen the ghost of my dog in the garden and we've had a few visits inside the house too. I find it very comforting to know that he's still around some days. We miss him.

SPAY AND NEUTER is my first comment- the litter after litter part really infuriates me. The ghost part I believe.

Thanks Barb for sharing. I, too, have seen my deceased cats and I think it's because some people are more open to it, and have a special kinship with them..
