Wow. For months I've been signing petitions against human trafficking; noting and commenting on posts about human trafficking, but never, has it 'hit home' with me as much as it did today when I watched Katie Couric....

Barb thank you for posting this. I volunteer with On Eagles Wings Ministries and we are involved in helping human trafficking victims. I'm so glad that there is more and more national attention coming to bear on this epidemic in our nation and the world.

Great info and very helpful. We should create more awareness about this problem. This is not something that only happens to other people, it can happen to me and you too. Anyone can be kidnapped and fall prey to human trafficking.

Human trafficking is becoming an epidemic! Scratch that, it IS an epidemic! All through out the world this is happening even in America which people of my country some times fail to realize. Love the site!

thanks for posting this, ..... there is far too little awareness concerning this issue, I think. Also, it is happening right under our noses people..

Not a fan of either person. Pinkett looks half baked as usual and Kouric looks like she plugged herself into the closest light socket. However, if getting these two factory girls into the mix so that changes can get made and the public informed, so be it.

In New Hampshire, chinese restaurants bring waiters and waitresses in from New York and other places then bus them to and from the restaurant and arrange for crammed housing where all of the actions of the employees are monitored constantly. In North Conway Nh , asians and russians are brought in en masse during seasonal periods, also resulting in loss of jobs within the community

Slavery and the trafficking in human being is a multibillion dollar business. it is not just women but many more men. Slavery has been with us for thousands of years. Now it is getting confused with other abuses. Worse a slave economy is destructive. Whatever gender it must be stopped.
