The pizza was a tease to the dog- why didn't they know any better? Now they know....

Eysak is not their dog so of course they didn't know any better!

What a funny story! I am glad that the dog did have owners though so he didnt get the death penalty for being hungry.

Please pay attention to the details:
Was this a scary dog on the loose? We're not sure. It's likely that the dog was simply starving. It turns out the family who owns the dog had posted a "lost dog" report on the county website just that afternoon. The Husky, named Eysak (don't worry about it), had escaped from the family's yard. We don't know how long he was loose, but long enough to work up the appetite to stage a brazen pizza theft and literally do nothing to escape. He could have dragged the pizza into the woods or something, right?

Authorities found a clue for the dog's behavior on his collar, which contained an inscription.

"Don't Mess with My Food'' it reads.

So clearly, Eysak is lost from his family. I just hope/pray that Eysak is reunited with his family soon. For more info please read the entire story.

Great story, thanks! Once years ago I went grocery shopping and got a deli sausage for dinner. It smelled really good. On the way home I stopped by my boyfriend's house and left a car window open slightly. I didn't quite understand how the neighbor's rather large cat got in through such a small crack. He punctured the cellophane on the package and left with most of the sausage. (Nice of him to leave me some!)

The pizza might have been a familar smell to him. His owners might have been feeding him pizza. None the less, it sounds like the dog found it's way home. It might not have if not for the pizza.

This is a wild but funny story! I could just picture this scene in a Steve Martin or Jerry Lewis movie! I remember when I used to live in Jacksonville Fl. that a neighborhood dog, named Kirby, who was owned by a family right across the street from me and had a good home, but every Friday morning before the garbage truck arrived, Kirby would get out of his pet door and climb a 6ft. fence (he was very athletic) and head right for the recycling bins and sometimes I would see him when I would take my dogs for a walk literally with at least 3 cardboard pizza boxes that he had under his paws and looking like he had just found a piece of heaven! I will never forget that sight! Some dogs just love pizza! Great post BarbCat!

Once years ago when we had 2 dobermans, they were on the locked side of the fence, my husband had just brought a big plate of burgers to barbque, he put them down and went into the house, this small dog, wiggled under the fence and at a dozen burgers, his tummy was so big, he couldnt get out of the yard. He lived a couple of streets over. Too funny.
Hope the puppy made his way home.
