A seal slaughter in Canada has been cancelled! The Huffington Post reports that the annual hunt on Hay Island was called off. The seals of Hay Island were spared last year as well. The Hay Island hunt usually kills a few hundred seals each year......

Thnx Autumn....GOOD NEWS, such as THIS, is WORTH REPEATING!!!! If people only understood how LONG ALL OF US @ C2 HAVE FOUGHT FOR THE CANADIAN BABY SEALS!!!!!!!! But, the TRUTH is, that NO ONE UNDERSTANDS LIKE WE DO...

Yes it is wonderful news!!! Noted and hoping for a future where animals are respected and protected always!!! I still say one way to protect is NO Demand = NO Supply!!! One of the reasons I am on this earth this life is to protect and save the animals who so desperately need our help...

This article states that: (The Canadian) "provincial government provided a 3.6 million dollar loan to the Canadian seal processing industry, “in order to protect the future viability of the province’s seal hunt,” Canadian Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Darin King, announced."

Hopefully it is finally dead in Canada, but I'm not sure if it is yet.
