Who rescued who? It looks as if they both rescued each other! A wondeful tribute to the human animal bond and how it plays such in important part in our psychology and motivation for life! Receiving unconditional love from an animal is one of the most powerful motives to go on living because that animal gives us joy, love, friendship, and a real reason to wake up every day. People don’t need to have people, if they have a pet for a friend. We still derive as much spiritual and emotional fufillment from an animal companion as we would any human being- possibly even more because animals are so genuine and they never desert us!

yes a pet hero saving one of our vets very heartwarming story and it moves the soul to know an animal can be more to our people and society than just an animal they are people like us in their own right and deserve more that being thrown away neglected forgotten and left they deserve respect and admiration for stories like this prove they are an asset to our race

God bless all concerned - it gives me hope not only to see that Sgt Knott rescued Koshka and he him - but that the top brass allowed him to keep him and send him to the US - hooray!

A beautiful story of love and devotion!
Most surprising (very pleasantly so!) was the understanding and compassion the military showed in allowing Sgt. Knott to keep and nurture his four-pawed savior!
Thank you Barbknight for posting and forwarding.
