Forget inflation figures, interest rates, joblessness reports - the answer to how the economy is doing could be in your coffee cup.

Paige S., funny you should bring up the price of cofffee. I was thinking yesterday about the cost of the Big Mac around the world which used to be used as a measure of economic stability, inflation, whatever. Now, we need to look at the cost of coffee. Does anyone take therir coffe in a thermos in the US?

Some do, or if like me, brew it at home to drink instead. I have a Keurig that takes single serve k-cups , so no wasted or scalded coffee. I purchased both the coffee maker and the coffee from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, a company in Vermont, which sells fair trade and organic coffee, tea, and other sundries.
