In Ireland,we're paying a loan to bail out the Banks , We got 84 Billion Euro as a loan and I think some 70 billion
went to the Banks now we're looking for another bail-out loan. Polititions look after their own and to Hell with
the working class ,,,,with or with out a job.but a Bonus for the top Bankers ,,that's O.K.

For social, political, commentary, their will be nobody like him again. Jon Stewart cannot hold a candle to Carlin's brilliance.

Carlin never let us down the primrose path. Always Sharp! Hip! and
undoubtingly intelligent. Just as Richard Pryor, They both represented our generation with their Truth, Humor and Non Negotiable Facts!
Gone...yes Forgotten...never!

George Carlin was always so right on. Too bad no one nowadays speaks up like he did....During the Bush administration, he did away with free thinkers. Many lost their jobs because he didn't like what they had to say. Thank God Carlin's tapes are still available! All we seem to have these days are kiss-a**es.

He is absolutely right and until we can reregulate the Banksters and get cut the money flow to Washington we will be stuck with "MitRobMe" types. It all went very wrong when Wall Street Banksters bought a B Movie actor to be president. See the DVD "inside Job" and you'll see that Carlin hit the nail on the head. And thank you Robert Hardy for your comment : "OK. He tells the truth. Now what are we going to do about it? " Your comment is the most important one. What are we going to DO about it?
That's the Key! We all have to get more involved. We have to overturn "Citizens United" We have to vote against the scum that is owned by the Banksters. We have to push for return of the Glass Steagall act or some updated form of it.

Check out this 12 year old school us on how the banks have manipulated our government and the rest of us to pay their exhorbitant interest. They want us to have simpathy when a bank gets robbed. How about when the bank robs us with a pen instead of with a gun?

Ah, George, right on the nose as usual. Our modern day hypocrites and pharisees want us to do what we're told, when we're told and above all us, NEVER question them or what their true purpose is. How does this happen, how do they get away with it? Because, we the people have abdicated our right, no our responsibility to think for ourselves. Life is hard enough without having to think too - it is much easier to let others do your thinking for you, then just do what they tell you. Even though we KNOW they have no one's interest at heart but their own. Even though we know the billions spent on buying politicians, judges and influence everywhere, we let this go on because it is easier. Well it is time to stop being easy, folks. Question authority, question the tactics of giant institutions, fight them tooth and nail for your right to be free. It is the only choice we have that does not self-immolation. If you can't do it for yourselves, do it for your children and grandchildren. We have gone far off the track in this country, in the world, and it is time to set things right and ONLY, we, the people can do that. Because no one looks out for us, but us. George was right in everything he said. Except in the part he left out. We have only ourselves to blame for going along with this, for allowing this. And, I disagree only with what he said there was no way out. There is, and it is the ballot box. Get rid of the pond scum that has been destroying the American Dream for 30 years. We CAN do that. Hint: almost always 20 plus years of incumbency means that person is the enemy of the people. Bought and paid for. I don't like constitutional amendments mostly but there is one I'd support. Eliminating lifetime tenure for SCOTUS. Make them stand for election, national election, at least every 6 years. We need a way to inject fresh blood to that institution that does not involve politicians.

I could not agree more with Mr. Jacobsen! Kudos sir! Absolutely astute and dead on. Although we'll never see elections for the Supreme Court in our lifetimes, unfortunately, we sure as hell can rise up as plebeians, as we, the 99% are the ONLY hope for a civilized, sustainable future.

George was one of a kind. A lot of us miss his unique point of view and most of all humour.
